Just over a month after Tori Bowie, the champion American sprinter who won three medals at the 2016 Olympic Games, was found dead in her Florida home at age 32, a medical examiner reportedly found that she died from complications of childbirth.
Bowie’s autopsy, performed by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office of Florida, revealed that she was “undergoing labor” when she died, according to a copy of the report obtained by TMZ Sports. The athlete was roughly eight months pregnant, and was carrying a “well developed fetus,” according to USA Today Sports, which also reviewed the report.
Her death was ruled due to natural causes, according to the report.
The exact nature of the complications that Bowie suffered were not immediately clear, but officials speculated that she had experienced respiratory distress and eclampsia, USA Today reported. Eclampsia is a condition where high blood pressure triggers seizures during pregnancy or shortly after birth, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The Orange County medical examiner’s office did not immediately return an after-hours request for comment from The Daily Beast.
It was reported shortly after Bowie’s death that she had been pregnant, but it was unclear at the time just how far along she was. An obituary published by the Florida funeral home that hosted her memorial service said that the runner had been “preceded in death” by her daughter, who was named as Ariana Bowie.
Officials said at the time that results of pending toxicology tests could take up to three months to complete.
County sheriff’s deputies had been sent to Bowie’s home on May 2 after receiving reports that a woman in her early 30s had not been seen or heard from in several days.

Re: 15 - you’ll have a long wait.
This woman’s death was used to push a narrative by a fringe group of COVID-19 anti vaccination posters. It was nothing more than red meat.
Her sad death and the death of her baby were just props for the narrative. There will be no correction, no clarification for the threads they were jackassin’ on concerning her passing. They’ll just be on the lookout for the next death to exploit.
Yes, very sad.
Anybody who doesn’t believe the vax is safe is a Deplorable according to the vax apologists.
Re: 23 - what’s that to do with the death of this woman and her child?
Gosh. Still no reference to any source reporting Tori Bowie’s vaccination status.
It looks like you are still posting the “who needs facts when the story line is good” Secret Knowledge that had you announcing that the vax killed her in the first place. Imagine that.
Secret knowledge? We were all forced to take the jabs or lose our jobs! Where were you?
The “Secret Knowledge” is your ability to “know” that people in the news died from covid vaccines when you have no knowledge of their medical history including their vaccine status.
The “Secret Knowledge” is you making stuff up and pretending it’s fact. A favorite pasttime of the “who needs facts” crowd.
They behave just like the Climate Change crackpots.
Same mentality, different obsession.
We were all forced to take the jabs or lose our jobs! Where were you?
No one at my company was required to take the vax. There are plenty of independent businesses who held out against the (considerable) pressure to require it. Ms. Bowie led a very private life, so there isn't much information in the public record regarding her employment outside of professional sports, but there would certainly have been many places she could have earned a living that didn't require a vaccine, more so in the state she happened to have been living in at the time of her death: Florida.
Oh, and her Olympic win? That was in Rio de Janero, in 2016. Which was before the CCP bioweapon was released.
Her last major event was the world championships in Doha, in spring of 2019. Also before the 'rona.
Is there even a tiny hint in the public record that documents her vaccination status?
Ouch. That’s going to leave a mark.
Unfortunately the “evidence is optional” crowd are also impervious to humiliation so it will be business as usual.
