It’s a long way from playing sets in London dives. Maybe we’ll see an entire line of Rolling Stones Kitchen Appliances soon. Get yer Mick Jagger Signature Food Processor. Keith Richards’ Official Vegetable Dicer (formerly the Ronco Ved-a-Matic).

“It’s a long way from playing sets in London dives.”

Remember, Mick’s an Economics major. He’s got nothing against making money, in principle.

I get the song. The comment seemed to be more of an attack, but maybe I read too much into it. (Its not a funny joke if you have to explain it)

At times I’m reminded of Barack Obama’s comment that at some point you have enough money. It doesn’t appear that wealthy people ever do. Including Obama.

“Its not a funny joke if you have to explain it”

Well, it’s not funny to the people you have to explain it to at least.

Microsoft paid $3 million dollars for the same song to launch Windows 95. It was a hit, but I suspect the Stones made more money off of the commercials for this one.
