The letter sounds like some fledgling drama student writing a short story, hoping it is turned into a movie (for the umpty third time).
“Mistakes were made.“
Dear regretful, it seems like you did your first husband a favor.
This Lady here messed up, but her ex has moved on.
So, she’s stuck where she is now. Is she planning to jump ship again, and abandon Husband #2? Don’t.
How can I put this..
IMO, some people are not ‘happy’ unless they’re unhappy.
Then, all their attention, all their passion is focused on some particular factor, thinking ‘My life would be perfect, if only I could .....!!”
She may just be jealous that some other woman has made her ex husband satisfied and content. That makes her aka Goldilocks look bad, in her twisted view.
Sounds like she is begging for a Do-over...maybe in another life.
Reminds me of the saying “Elections have consequences”. I guess love affairs do also.
The “Husband Store” wasn’t just a joke.
Monkey Branching
CLICKBAIT for the lonely and bitter.
I thought Jane gave very good advice in this. The first husband is with someone else, now - there’s no going back. She’d just hurt the current husband too, and have 2 big mistakes behind her, along with further disappointment and more regret in the future.
Bury the regret and make the best of the bed you’ve made.
Hang in there. Dear Abby is still around and there’s one of these Sap Sisters in her column almost daily. I spot -check her stuff for people with actual problems but I’ve wasted a lot of time looking.
Taylor the Fiend would have fun with this.
The AIs get more sophisticated all the time. Both the letter and the answer.
Pain is real.
Well, if she is a porn star or foreign model, she might look up Trump.
women like this are truly disgusting
All made up crap, just like scripted reality shows.
Sounds familiar. Ex-wife contacted me 13 years after the fact to find out how I and my present wife were doing. Told her we are fine. That was 17 years ago. I knew the ex was screwing up her life when she divorced me, and I was glad to get out of the relationship.
The grass is always greener, but it still has to be mowed.
