Right. But making Fake News is popular here at FR. It’s like throwing red meat to hyenas.
Who cares if this is factual or not. Just blindly follow the twitter idiots.
“Did anyone actually watch the clip? Not even close to what he said”
Sorry, can’t put lipstick on that pig.
> Did anyone actually watch the clip? <
I did. It was pretty darn pathetic. Pretty darn bad.
Someone can make a point without pandering. That was pandering.
Of course, your mileage may vary. Different folks can see the same thing and reach different conclusions. I saw naked pandering. You might not. I respect that.
Agree, he didn’t speak those words, however the message was clear, “Whites must grovel before blacks for forgiveness for something they are not guilty of”
Are you advocating watching or reading what we are commenting on? Are you some anti-FR radical? /s
Dan Cathy’s statement and actions seem very scripted and are definitely virtue signaling, but they aren’t particularly offensive. He’s advocating humility and love which is a Christian value. Jesus washed the disciples feet and told them to love one another after all. It just comes off awkward here IMHO.
If I have to deal only with companies where the CEO’s aren’t woke I probably will end up naked, starving and stranded.
I have never been met with a LBGT banner/sign or advocacy of anything woke in a Chick-fil-A. I have been met with a courteous staff, clean restaurant, good food, often a plaque with scholarships awarded, and occasionally a prayer request box. I really don’t care what Dan Cathy thinks as long as Chick-fil-A serves customers quality products and doesn’t promote discord and social pathologies. Target and a lot of other retailers and restaurants could learn from Chick-fil-A.

I was hoping you were right, but I dunno... I watched it and that’s pretty close to what he said.

Everything you read is BS until proven otherwise. You have to be your own journalist, never let anything tell you what something means. Read it yourself and this means the Bible too.
“Did anyone actually watch the clip?”
Yes, and I listened intently to his words/watched his actions.
Best summary is a twit reply to the post:
“jmaceye

No, he did not say those exact words. But he did say that people should be shining the shoes of “anyone who needs it”, then proceeded to shine the shoes of the black man on stage, and people should have an apologetic heart. Apologize for what? To who? You know what me meant.”
And HT to TChad:
This video was recorded weeks after Floyd’s death just as the ‘summer of violence’ was ratcheting up.
“Chick-fil-A CEO says white Americans need to get on their knees and shine black peoples’ shoes”
“Did anyone actually watch the clip? Not even close to what he said”
I watched the clip and it is actually pretty close to what to he said. Basically it should be done voluntarily as an act of conciliation. He even demonstrated it and gave out 1500 shine brushes to his employees.
