Dealing with the Upcoming Climate Failure Blame Garme
American Thinker ^ | 30 May, | Christopher Chantrill

What do we do about the climate madness? That's the issue that Lord Frost addressed in a recent speech to the Global Warming Policy Foundation in Britain.

Short answer: not much, not yet. But there is hope. Frost reckons that the governments in Europe are "beginning to get cold feet" on their climate agendas

I actually sense our own Government is beginning to realise that the economics are more doubtful than the Net Zero proponents argue. If, as some commentators say, our Prime Minister is beginning to get worried by the costs of Net Zero, we can only welcome that.

Then he notes that support for Net Zero policy is starting to fall with "incipient questioning of Net Zero measures across Europe" as climate change policies start to bite.

The most strongly supported measures are those which most people probably believe would not affect them -- changes in pension fund investment rules and frequent flyer levies -- while support for phasing out gas boilers has halved and support for EV subsidies is now only slightly positive.

Frequent flyer levies? How about a tax on NGO employees and lefty billionaires flying private?

Unfortunately, politicians in the West "actively prefer to live in complete cognitive dissonance" rather than think about anything. And probably the political system will select for "lifestyle change to save the planet, the politicisation of everyday lifestyle choices, the emphasis on living local and sustainability".

The only thing that Frost can recommend is to be ready for the step change.

The job of those who are willing to question the rush to Net Zero is to see this crunch moment coming and to start to get the politics ready.

The point is, Frost realizes, that the COVID pandemic showed us how government and public opinion work.

What are the climate scientists and leftist politicians going to do when they can’t get their green energy to work? What will the public do when they realize that it was all just a power grab like the COVID lockdowns?

"Dealing with the Upcoming Climate Failure Blame Garme [sic]"

Many Global Warming Nazis should end up in prison. Some should become rope testers.

Some should become rope testers.

Ropes are unusual things. I don’t recall any scientific study that tested the mean time to failure of ropes. It should be noted that even with a scientific study that the statistics are only meaningful when discussing ropes. Competitors to ropes should also be studied. That way there can be statistical comparisons made.

If there is a coming climate change, we need to prepare by building nuclear power plants, increasing oil production, increasing food production and stockpiling food with a good shelf life.

There is always climate change. We pray for warming because cooling results in famine and energy shortages. I’m betting on warming.

This insanity has been going on for a long time. I remember the ice age scare of the '70s. We were all going to freeze to death.
Then the leftist figured out you can't kill capitalism with cold. You have to kill the fuel & engines that drive it. Voila, fossil fuels are evil. What does using fossil fuels produce, CO2. So a gas that's 0.04% of the atmosphere needed to be demonized. And here we are, again.

Global Warming is the best brainwashing ever invented. Aren’t these the same people who said they could manage a simple virus with a vax and masks?

“... sense our own Government is beginning to realize that the economics are more doubtful ...”

The concept is that we supposedly select the best and brightest to serve in government so that our lives will be improved and not managed. But that concept is called into question when reading things like the above. If it takes years for the Government to realize the severe limitations of so-called green energy, one wonders if there are any triple-digit IQs in WDC especially when a college sophomore engineering student can easily calculate the benefits of using nuclear, coal, and natural gas for power generation vs. the shortcomings of the GND sources.

But of course there are a few high-IQ folks in WDC so one must wonder if goal of the GND is something other than ‘sustainable’ energy production which it is decidedly not. (/sarc)

“What are the climate scientists and leftist politicians going to do when they can’t get their green energy to work?”

They are going to do what all communist and socialist bureaucrats do and that is claim the measures weren’t implemented properly so let’s do it again

This quote was sent to me by FR mail by someone who does not post anymore and does not want to be named. Below the quote is my research to find validation for the quote:

“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” - CIA Director William Casey, Staff Meeting February 1981

“I am the source for this quote, which was indeed said by CIA Director William Casey at an early February 1981 meeting of the newly elected President Reagan with his new cabinet secretaries to report to him on what they had learned about their agencies in the first couple of weeks of the administration. The meeting was in the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House, not far from the Cabinet Room. I was present at the meeting as Assistant to the chief domestic policy adviser to the President. Casey first told Reagan that he had been astonished to discover that over 80 percent of the ‘intelligence’ that the analysis side of the CIA produced was based on open public sources like newspapers and magazines. As he did to all the other secretaries of their departments and agencies, Reagan asked what he saw as his goal as director for the CIA, to which he replied with this quote, which I recorded in my notes of the meeting as he said it. Shortly thereafter I told Senior White House correspondent Sarah McClendon, who was a close friend and colleague, who in turn made it public.”

I never hear anyone anywhere in the real world talking/worried about global warming. Unless it’s in a sarcastic way.
