I liked it. There's video out there somewhere.

She has one style that is original to her and it’s all she knows.

It’s another person with the “’ME...ME...ME...Look at me!” agenda. The anthem meant nothing to her, and it’s obvious

Just once before I die, I’d like to hear the national anthem sung at a public event exactly as it was written, without any “interpretation” such as yodeling the last line. I don’t expect to, though.

I liked it too.
I thought it was very sincere.

Best rendition I ever heard was Donna Summer at the 1991 MLB All-Star game at Fenway Park.
Jaw-dropping.

I guess it wasn’t as bad as it could have been, so there’s that.
I think I’m less bothered by her interpretation as I am by the trend that everything must be “reinterpreted” for “modern audiences”. We no longer seem to have room for tradition and I suspect it’s intentional in order to sever us from our collective past so it can be recast as necessary. Those who control the past...
I’m sure thinking that makes me racist or sexist, or at least curmudgeonly. But I’m past the point where I care.

The National Anthem is best sung corporately, respectfully, and with no frills.

Some folks eat nothing but Wonder Bread and consider whole wheat an insult and an abomination. There’s nothing to be done about it.

I was at the ballpark in 68 to hear Jose Feliciano’s rendition. I think that was the first time anyone varied it. There were cheers and boos.
