There was once a snail who paid 300 grand to buy a ‘72 Hemi Challenger in original and mint condition. He took it to a custom paint shop and told them to paint a large “S” on the side. The shop said “Man, you sure you want to do that to a mint ‘72 Challenger that is all original? You’re gonna kill the value!” The snail replied, “Yep. When I go flying down the street I want people to stare and say ‘Man, look at the S car go!’ “

I have eaten escargot, and it is good. Garlicy, Buttery, Chewy, Meaty.

Note that the escargot are farm raised and cleaned, not just some slugs they found in the garden.............................

From the article, behold! A linky:

9 Odd Foods that are an Acquired Taste

This one caught my eye ... Number 5:

The Kit Kat candy bar is known for being the perfect combination of chocolate and wafer. However, there are some quite unusual flavors of Kit Kats. The baked sweet potato-flavored Kit Kat is just one of them.

Most of these odd-flavored Kit Kats come from Japan. Other unusual Kit Kat flavors include wasabi, rum raisin, citrus, red pepper, pumpkin pudding, and green tea.

I’ve often wondered who the 1st person was to crack open an oyster and decided “Yeah that looks tasty!” 😏

On a whim, I tried escargot at a restaurant, having never seen them on a menu (this was 30 years ago).

I was fortunate that the chef was a true chef. They were very good, but not likely an event to be repeated (it was likely the nature of the date which brought me to the restaurant which prompted me to try them).

When I just got out of the Marines, my mom was on a French Cooking binge and was taking a cooking class. She made some and I liked them.

I have ordered them in restaurants, but they are expensive....................

I ate home cooked escargot in Paris at a New Years Eve party (1976)...it was garlicy and nicely spiced, but the texture was not to my liking.

Probably the same guy who caught a crab and his buddies dared him to eat it.

Seagulls drop oysters etc. from high up onto concete, it opens them and the birds eat them. Probably the first humanoid just copied that.
