Just got back from the grocery store and saw an elderly couple (most likely married) step out of their vehicle sporting masks. Saw a few idiots in the store wearing them as well.
Allergy season
Immune problems
Trying not to give you what they have.
Maybe they are feeling sick.
Maybe they care for someone with immune deficiencies
Maybe they have COPD
Maybe they are protecting themselves against pollution
...
Why are you afraid of masks?
Is there some deep seated insecurity you have that you have to be all up in other people’s business?

And there are people who are brain dead morons still wearing them for no other reason than they're brain-dead morons. I know a lady suffering from cancer and she wears one in public places. I get that. I also know a lady who is perfectly healthy and wears one everywhere, including alone in her car. She just wears it. No logical reason. She even pulls it down all the time to talk. What's the point ?

I wear them so I can walk in to court without having bothered to fix up my beard or prep my appearance in any way. Works beautifully. And it’s Houston so they’ll just assume I’m a hypochondriac liberal.

Saw a young couple diving down my highway last week with windows up, masks up.
I feel like they’d be happier locked in a cargo container permanently hooked up to VR.
I see people alone in their cars wearing them.
Some are trying to conceal their identities.
I try and be open minded because a few people need to wear them, but I use it as an indicator as to whether I should avoid interacting with someone.

What business is it of yours if someone wants to protect their respiratory system from allergens, viruses or bacteria for whatever reason?
It is extremely sad. My thought is that some people were traumatized by the absurdity that ensued.
