What I'm recalling (from memory), one of the clues was from footware prints that only matched a specific sort of boot only issued by a specific branch of the military that was not widely available to the public at that time.

I never bothered to watch the movie Zodiac (2007) until a couple of weeks ago.
I was surprised at how much I really liked it.
The “feel” was so good (opposite of the In Cold Blood miniseries dvd which I had to fast forward to get the thing over with).
Some movies have a feel I like, such as Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die and Goldfinger.
Have no idea of the genuine solution to the case. I think the bumbling, corrupt FIB will be the last to know, maybe with an agent falling over a corpse in the dark somewhere.

I thought the left had decided that Ted Cruz was the zodiac killer.
However, it fits with the FBI known behavior to know who the killer is, but refuse to let the public know. That’s their M.O. so to speak. If the crime is solved, the money to solve the crime may go away, and then what are the investigators to do?
