An alleged knife-wielding intruder was hospitalized after a Constantine Township, Michigan, homeowner shot him Friday night around 10 p.m.
ABC 57 reported the homeowner called police dispatch and told them a suspect with a knife had allegedly entered his home.
FOX 17 noted that officers were dispatched to the scene and arrived to find the suspect lying outside the home with a bullet wound “to the upper thigh.”
The suspect was transported to a hospital where he had to undergo surgery. WSBT observed that the suspect “is expected to be ok.”

Well, it’s definitely an alleged journalist bringing us this story.
Well, a thigh shot could be a profuse bleeder, so there’s always that option, too. ;)
If you want to ensure future pain, discomfort and difficulty walking. Always go for a knee shot. A shattered knee guarantees a life of pain.
Who gives a tinker's damn about the suspect. How is the home owner doing? I hope he has a lawyer.
Or in the femoral artery in which case without immediate medical attention he would bleed out.
“Knife welding intruder Allegedly shot by homeowner.”
Fixed it.
Exactly. “Allegedly” should only be used to describe the crime, since the accused has not been convicted. But the press just nervously sprinkle it about as a balm against lawsuits, because A. editing, as a profession, is dead, and B. journalists are idiots.
If they are quoting someone, like “the homeowner said the accused broke into his home”, there is no “allegedly”.
I appreciate your sentiment, but the thigh wound was debilitating, and did the job. Basically stopping the crime in progress.
Most accidental discharge wounds are in the thigh, and they are ugly.
If the intruder can be “alleged” to have a knife, then the homeowner can be “alleged” to have shot him? Fair is fair, isn’t it?
After reading the comments here, I see I’m not the only one who noticed the selective use of the word “allegedly” in this article.
That leg is going to be sore. They will need to look inside the house for blood. In that state I wonder if they have to be in your house. Was he shot and run outside. I live in Polk county Florida. Our sheriff Grady Judd recommends protecting your home and property.
You beat me to it.
Yes ... a .356 inch bullet is really 9.0424 mm ...
His stories remind me of third grade where the boys all tried to out-do each other with how tough or smart we were.
Two shots with a double-barreled shotgun?
Now Biden has an empty gun!
The intruder had an alleged knife and was allegedly shot in the leg and is allegedly bleeding on the floor. The police allegedly arrived and the intruder was allegedly taken to an alleged hospital where and alleged doctor allegedly looked at him and allegedly said he is allegedly bleeding.
Heh. Biden had a third-grade brain a few years ago. Now, his synapses are pre-school quality.
I wouldn’t wish it on anyone that didn’t deserve it! :)
