A new report found Black girls across the Keystone State are subjected to "daunting educational barriers" in K-12 public schools and offers recommendations to make the school system more inclusive. The report detailed barriers with curriculum, dress codes, anti-Black racism, sexism and other issues.
Paige Joki, staff attorney for the Education Law Center-Pennsylvania and leader of the Black Girls Education Justice Initiative, said the purpose of the report was to hear the concerns of Black girls, because their voices were missing from conversations.
She reported students advised them they were exposed to harmful curriculum, and one of the girls' recommendations for public schools is to implement a culturally responsive and affirming curriculum.
"Black girls shared with us that the ways that they were being taught about their history and experiences was traumatic, nonresponsive, and erased experiences of those who are part of their community or have shared identities," Joki reported. "Girls spoke to subjects being handled carelessly, like American slavery."
Another recommendation in the report called for police to be removed from schools. Joki pointed out Black children disproportionately attend schools where police are present, and many of the Black girls they spoke with felt police in their schools created a climate of fear and made them unsafe.......

Perhaps we need to return to totally racially segregated schools with a specially designed Black curriculum totally devoid of White superiority and hegemony and of course removing all traces of 2,000 years of Western Civilization created by White men. Someone should however tell these folks that Karl Marx was a white male.
And here I thought schools were for educating children. But I guess they are supposed to coddle and baby children these days, education is second fiddle.

I’ve been saying for a long time that if blacks started committing crimes at the same rate as Asians and Orientals in this country that most of the issues regarding race would disappear within 1 or 2 generations. This article complains about Police being more present in schools with large black students populations but that’s because they are needed more in those schools because of the students behavior.
Black women dominate public life now, lead almost all major cities and have influence far beyond their numbers. And why are there police in mostly black schools? Taking them out is fine with me, let nature take its course to solve the problems.
Political Activism is now the new career choice for black women. Grab a blow horn an go! Then be recognized by the media.... and of course open a donation site.
