One Perry resident tells KCCI she was one of two people bitten by a rabbit last Friday.
Ramona Rustan said the rabbit jumped up and bit her and then hopped over to the neighbors' house.
"It came around to her car and wouldn't let her out of her car," Rustan said.
She called police.
"The police department says it's been a rabbit that has been around terrorizing people," Rustan said.
The Perry police gave KCCI a call report that details a 13-year-old girl who was also bitten by the rabbit.
The 13-year-old will be getting a rabies shot. Rustan, who says she is a nurse, is not planning on getting a rabies shot.

So President Carter, as you lie on your death bed, be consoled that you were not the worst president ever and at least one person was not laughing about the killer rabbit.
Is that Jimmy carter’s attack Rabbit?
My wife works for an ER facility and several times a year people come into the ER having been bitten by a animal suspected as being rabid. Often the people tried to help the animal because it appeared to be behaving strangely. i thought it was common knowledge to not approach wild animals that showed no fear of humans.
Three shall be the number. Five is right out.
“I *warned* you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you *knew*, didn’t you? Oh, it’s just a harmless little *bunny*, isn’t it?”
What’s up, Doc?
“ Saw it at the local drive in theater when it came out.”
We used to go like once per week that summer. Drive in. Turn the truck around. Bring beers. Commack drive in?
"Where's my Hassenpfeffer?"
Death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth!
Looks like dog abuse. Poor dog is mortified.
As kids my buddy and I took in a baby rabbit that was being given away by a neighbor. We were probably 4th grade and didn’t tell our parents. We kept it out in our fort. It was only a couple of days of asking for more of that yummy salad and our moms got suspicious.
My buddy’s parents let him have it so we built a hutch for him in their backyard. By the time we were in junior high that rabbit was huge. We had built a larger hutch - above ground.
One day some dogs tore into the hutch and killed the rabbit. There was also a dead dog in the yard. I have no doubt the rabbit killed it.
Ya got squirrels or rabbits? Ya got the start of a good Brunswick Stew. Ain’t nothing better.
Silly Rabbit!
Squirrels rabbits possums and feral cats. The possums and rabbits .. welcome to stay. Cats? Tearing up the wild bird population they gotta go. Squirrels I usually tolerate but this year they’re hell bent on setting up shop in the attic and THAT ain’t happening
Have you got a license to shoot a fricasseeing rabbit?
Domestic bunnies would die of they were bitten by a rabid animal, so they are just frightened to death! No domestic rabbit should be released to nature. They have no skills for the wilderness! This is a sad state of affairs!
No one should buy a pet rabbit unless you have a plan B if it doesn’t work out...and releasing it into the wild is NOT a plan B!
