Anthropologie gets torched for video of man dancing around in dresses and heels

Anthropologie, a store that sells women's clothing and other products, is getting pummeled on social media after posting a video of a man dancing around in dresses and heels.

"Twirl to the link in bio to shop bold, beautiful dresses for every solo," an Instagram post declared. The video features a man sporting several different outfits, including a pair of jeans and some dresses.

While comments are apparently disabled on the post, people have simply vented their displeasure by leaving comments on other Anthropologie Instagram posts.

"Of all the amazing women out there - and especially so close to Mother's Day - why couldn't you find a woman out there to showcase a dress? So done being erased. After thousands of years in the backseat, we are now fighting AGAIN for visibility. Women have NOT arrived," one person commented.

"You are leaving the post up despite the fact that you had to turn comments off because you know how insulted the majority of your consumers are?!! So much for women's rights and female spaces, huh? Anthro agrees it's a man's world and they are 100% on board. Message received loud and clear," another person wrote.

You know FReepers in my area there are a lot of thrift stores ran by churches that have very nice second hand clothing.

One in the area supports a drug rehab program ran by the church because the pastor lost one of this kids to drugs.

I'm telling you this because at least if you buy these "woke" clothing there you are giving the money to God and not the devil. Get my drift?

Women’s clothing stores have figured out how to make tons of money! Forget about selling women’s clothing to women (who make up about 51% of the population). Instead, just target transvestites. I don’t know how many mentally ill men there are out there who like to play dress-up, but it’s got to be at least 4% of the population!!!

I’ve never even heard of this store before this story broke.

I can’t believe there are enough trannies to buy their clothing.

“Anthro agrees it’s a man’s world and they are 100% on board”

Well, it’s right there in the name, “anthro” means “man”.

Rich liberal ‘elite’ women have always been attracted to the gay community. Their wealthy husbands are off with girlfriends and hookers and theses wives butter up easily. Maybe ‘creepy’ is the hook here...

Anthropologie is your typical store for women with more money and free time than they know what to do with.. The type of women who probably are more often than not happy to say a man is a woman for fear of being ostracized by her liberal friends.

Certainly not the type of women I generally add to my social circle.

They are an upscale women’s brand, the ones that rent space in the highest dollar markets, cater to 30-40 something affluent women.

For their target market, they probably won’t lose too many customers because most women (not all, but most) have far more common sense than to fritter their hard earned money away on trips to their stores.

You are primarily looking at wives of affluent men, old money women or childless women in their 30s and 40s who put career first and still trying to convince themselves they are fabulous.

Somehow I don’t think that’s it.

But they’ve gotta keep that DEI score up!

"Of all the amazing women out there - and especially so close to Mother's Day - why couldn't you find a woman out there to showcase a dress?"

I was visiting a friend on Monday who had Kelly Ripa's morning show on the TV. She and her husband/co-host started out by calling this “Mother's Day week” and hyping Mother's Day.

So who was her guest? Andy Cohen, a 54-year-old gay man (the one who produces the Real Housewives shows) who has a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, both surrogate-produced.

Kelly couldn't stop raving about what a GREAT FATHER he is, an AMAZING PARENT, so wonderful....
