Sienna Weir, a 2022 Miss Universe finalist and fashion model, has died days after a tragic horse riding accident. She was 23.
The statuesque blond died Thursday, her representatives and family have confirmed, News.au first reported.
Weir was riding at Windsor Polo Grounds in her native Australia on April 2 when her horse took a tumble. She was rushed to Westmead Hospital where she spent two days on life support before dying from fatal injuries.

Our daughter rode and competed at high levels from age 6 to she graduated from college. There was nothing more exhilarating or scary than watching her jump. We saw many horses suddenly refuse jumps. Fortunately, she was never hurt.

When we lived in Gitmo, my dad had a horse that would not let anyone else ride him. If Dad was there the horse would tolerate my mother.
But one teenage girl befriended the horse and Dad let her ride him whenever she wanted. We rode our horses through the Cuban hills.
One day some officers were playing golf, and they saw this horse dragging something with his teeth. He dragged the girl to them and then he took off.
Apparently, she had fallen off and was knocked unconscious. She recovered. Dad’s horse made sure someone would care for her. They thought from the looks of things he had dragged her a long distance by the collar of her shirt.

They can be mean too. As a novice, my friend got me to try riding bareback. I was doing ok until I somehow lost the reins. That seemed to piss the mare off or she was mad because I was holding onto her mane. Anyway, she starts galloping full tilt towards a high fence which I knew she would not clear. That damn horse had every intent of pulling up short and throwing me over the fence. I bailed off and landed in a pile of manure but it was better than flying over the fence.
Nah, some just want to kill you but can’t.

I seriously don’t like horses. Got friends that absolutely love them. I won’t get near them. One friend was shoeing her horse and got kicked in the face by it. Lotsa hospital visits, facial reconstruction, etc. Only good thing that came out of that is her jaw was wired shut for a while and she lost a bunch of weight.
I might call her willowy rather than statuesque. Statuesque has somewhat more heft than she shows. RIP, poor thing. 23. Just damn…

Some horses are quite willing to cripple or kill you, just for riding on them. I still have a scar on my left leg from a horse that tried to scrape me off his back when I was ten. What a bloody, painful mess that was. It was the last time I rode.
The obsession that some girls and young women have for horses is just too dangerous. Motorcycles would be safer.
Cars are dangerous. college friend got in an accident and she ended up in a wheelchair some 50 years ago. Deeply sad event because she dumped me just before the accident.
