A Tesla driver died in a fatal shooting at a Supercharger station in Denver, Colorado, over a dispute regarding charging their electric vehicles, according to the police
Nobodys is fighting over a gas pump. No one. Go away. Google this: FOAD.
LOL .
More Lefty hate on parade .
Video I saw from Chicago, woman driving an Explorer or something like it, ran *THROUGH* the pumps to run *THROUGH* another car, then proceeded to fly through traffic and flip her vehicle over.
I was talking to your mother, just the other night, I said " I thought your kids an a-hole" , she said "son, I think you're right".
I think the notion is that most charging will be done at home. If I had an EV, the only time I would hit the public charging station would be on long trips.
Per KiloWatt, it is twice the price to charge up at the charging station.
Well, I’ve seen it reported over parking spaces, so I guess I’m not shocked by this.
That these were drivers of electric cars already says something about their impulse control.
That wasn’t a fight to get access to a pump. That was a fight that happened to occur near the pumps.
The newer Tesla charging stations are rated at 250KW per stall. So for the common 8 stall setup, the power requirements would be 2MW. It is unlikely all that power would be needed unless everybody plugged in at the same time. At somewhere around 60% of a full charge, the charging rate starts fall off quite a bit. At that point the charging rate is similar to charging at the old 150KW chargers. You also have to have a relatively new Tesla that can accept the 250KW charge.
I was wondering the same thing. Be courteous.
Never mind. I found it. Rodrickus was shot at 2:00 A.M. at a gas station in Atlanta. Go back to your normal self.
Charge anxiety kills. Wonder how healthy sitting on a 1000 lb battery is?
Yes... but there is a possible solution that would have each car on its way within minutes.
Of course, there’s still the problem of having enough energy and having the cars survive harsh conditions.
I fully expect them to outlaw gas stations to force compliance
Even if everyone tried charging at home, there isn’t enough energy in the grid for it.
Local media says argument was not over the charger. Who knows? Not the best neighborhood that’s for sure. Not one I would willingly drive through
Interesting. That charging station serves Tesla drivers on I70 and I25. It is a couple miles from each interstate..
There's a joke in there yearning to get out.
A couple miles not really close to either one. And in the middle of gangland
The need for a charging station to pair with a vehicle amouts to yet another opportunity for social control. “Sorry, our records indicate that you made a post favorable to Trump back in 2016. Pairing not possible.”
Every single gas pump “pairs with” every gas engine, and every diesel pump with every diesel engine.
