“Stretch” aka Senator John Thune is seen standing next to The Turtle aka Senator Mitch McConnell. Thune appears to be giving a response at a press conference.

Johnnie gabbs on and on, seemingly without end. Meanwhile, Mitch remains mute, with his lips literally sealed, throughout the press conference.
It’s as though he was waging some kind of protest, by having his mouth sewed shut.

His eyes are glazed and wandering, as though he wonders which Morning Show he’s missing right now and which Breakfast Burrito he could have ordered to his room by now, were he not here, in this hot, noisy chamber?

I think we need new blood; but it’s really hard to know where to get it.

My wife , who unlike myself is only mildly political, watched it. She said: “I think he is taking a nap. With his eyes closed”. 🤣

The saddest part is, as this video proves - they lack the self-awareness to realize when they’ve reached their expiration date, and just continue on. Lack of term limits was probably the greatest oversight the framers of the constitution made. Along with assuming that Americans were too honest and ethical to take advantage of week election laws.

A little of it might have been mortality rates in the 18th century.

“ At the time of America’s founding in 1776, the average newly-minted American citizen could expect to live to the ripe old age of 35, giving them a few months to run for the presidency before they keeled over.”

They probably could not have even imagined the set of zombies we have running the country now,
