Political commentator Tomi Lahren has said conservatives will continue to boycott Bud Light until they 'acknowledge' the mistake they made after their disastrous partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The beer brand presented Mulvaney with personalized cans showing her face, which she promoted on April 1st.
Fans of the beer erupted in fury with a boycott was declared, Kid Rock used Bud Light cans as target practice, and $5 billion was wiped off the value of the brand.
Two senior marketing executives have taken leave of absence amid the fiasco.
Now, Lahren has weighed in on the fury saying that conservatives will continue to boycott the beer until leaders 'acknowledge' their mistake.
Speaking to Fox News, the 30-year-old said: 'Conservative consumers matter and I think that Bud Light and all other companies out there are starting to realize that the hard way.
'Until they come out and actually acknowledge it head on, conservatives are still going to be upset and we will not be drinking Bud Light - I can promise you that.'
Lahren had been responding to a commercial Bud Light had launched which was a clear nod to American country music and its fans, and designed to appeal to its more traditional market.
The company had to resort to disabling comments on the YouTube video after being criticized for it.

Well you have to hand it to them, they've created a market niche by making Bud Light the first beer for trans people.
Sure, consumers aren’t coming back, but is that because of politics or just because it’s a bad beer?
This is exactly my thinking. They have now made Bud Light into sissy f@ggot beer, and any man drinking it will be mocked as a sissy f@ggot.
You cannot associate a product like beer, which men generally drink together at a social setting, with being an effeminate sissyfied person. Men don't want other men to see them as weak and effeminate, and so they won't want other men to see them drinking it.
They would be mocked and their manhood challenged.
You cannot easily turn this around. Once you establish the association between this product and being a sissy, it is very hard to undo it.
As many have pointed out, this isn't a boycott, it's a brand shift. BL is down 26%, Coors Light and Miller Lite up 13% apiece. I may count on my fingers, but I can count.
I just saw a “tweet” highlighted on Twitchy that pretty much sums up A/B’s failure.
“It wasn’t a marketing campaign, it was an attempt to exercise the social influence they thought they had.”
That’s true.
On a side note: I did a search on FR to find the latest thread on Bud Light’s debacle in order to add this comment. Doing a search for “Bud” gave me a response of “no results”. LOL
