Hello FRiend! I wanted to ask... where do you call home in Illinois?
I am from Lincoln / Logan County - Interstate 55 wraps around the outskirts of town.
To the NW - Peoria, to the NE - Bloomington, to the SE - Decatur, and to the SW - Springfield, and are all cities that surround the small town and are between 30-50 miles away, in Central Ill-annoy.

Hello neighbor! I’ve mostly been on vehicle and tent camping adventures. A few days here and there in town for a treat to a motel or hotel room.
I assisted a couple of “trail angels” as a surrogate trail angel at Picketpost Mtn. Trailhead/crossroads to the Arizona Trail and ran hikers into and out of the local town - Superior, plus a few runs into the valley of the sun.
Making a cannonball run to California later this week for work. I’m going to help the former owner of the resort where I work in the summer, with the construction of a 24’ x 28’ garage, then head up into the big mountains.
There’s so much snow that the power company that built the lake isn’t going to start clearing the roads and pass into the area until mid-May and only expects to clear a path in by about mid-June.
The last really big snow year - 2017, the resort’s official opening day was Father’s Day. We will be lucky to be ready by the 4th of July, but it is a worthy goal.
The closest ski resort - Mammoth Lakes (17 miles as a crow flies to the NE) is planning on staying open well into August.
Lincoln H.S. girl’s basketball should have won state.
worked 3 months @ State Farm Bloomingdale. Folks there thought I came from the state of Chicago - north of 80...too funny!

That’s all history now.
Rats wouldn’t run for office...repubs ran unopposed.
Not no more. The county board is now a rat majority.
The last time this county went repub for president was in 2004.
