Because cancer is a “category.” It’s kind of a bucket they use to lump in similar type diseases. But each typ of cancer is different than the next. There are good treatments for some. Some, like PC, are found too late to treat effectively. And, the more rare the disease, the less likely they will find an adequate treatment soon.
A few weeks ago, he was in Tampa for the St. Yago Gasparrilla Parade. Interesting character, but he said, when he started in talk television, the rating wasn’t great, so his producers asked to do controversial subjects. The rest is history...
No, that was Steve Wilkos who throw chairs. Both Jerry and Steve Wilkos were filmed in Connecticut. Steve Wilkos has a house on Long Island Sound..
One of a kind. Condolences to the family.
That was Maury Povitch's specialty, not so much Jerry's.
A terrible, silent but rapid killer, like ovarian cancer. By the time it finally makes itself known, it's already too late.
I saw Ripken deplaning at the Baltimore airport one time and his eyes were like headlights. People mobbed him looking for an autograph; but I held back without moving and marveled at his sky blue eyes from 15 feet away. (I'm a woman.)
All he did was hold the mirror.
He was a piece of garbage who capitalized off the dysfunction of American misery. And will always be remembered as a low class, cheap hustler.
At least he did it in the private sector.
Great, now I’ll never get to be on TV.
He’s in hell now unless he repented at the end and accepted Jesus.
What a filthy degenerate life he led, and further he led many impressionable minds to destruction by glamorizing and promoting degeneracy.
He has his own wing in the Museum of Modern American Societal Decay.
$$$$$$$$$$
I wonder if Bill and Hillary will attend the funeral?
I was chastised by a cousin on Facebook for mentioning his death. He was angry because he said so many good people died that day and I ignored them.
Yet my point is he had IMPACT and a very negative one on our society. Probably no other American besides maybe a distant 2nd place Larry Flint dropped our morality as a nation as fast.
Consider:
27 years
5000 shows!!!! (Well almost)
Shown in 2 DOZEN countries!
A huge preponderance was daytime TV so for nearly 2 generations little kids were sitting around TVs in the summer and learning: cursing , cheating, bondage, lying, fighting, gayness, lesbianism, Transvestism , cross dressing, Incest, oral sex, he even mentioned beastiality multiple times on the show and had actually produced an episode and was ready to air it when politicians and TV broadcast station pulled it.
He had a huge impact and one could almost argue he personally had quite a bit to do with the mess we are in now. If that’s not enough controversy in a life to warrant mention a passing then I don’t know what is.
If he is in heaven now then God really doesn’t care about morality.
You’re right.
