Commentary: Mosquitoes Are Poised to Overwhelm our Health Systems as Planet Heats Up
Channel News Asia ^ | 26 Apr 2023 | Lara Williams

Warmer, wetter conditions mean tropical diseases like dengue and chikungunya are spreading, says Lara Williams for Bloomberg Opinion

.When you think of dangerous animals, the ones that typically spring to mind have teeth or claws. But what about wings and a proboscis?

In many countries, mosquitoes are nothing more than a nuisance. But in others, they spread tropical diseases that kill at least 700,000 people a year - more than any other animal, according to estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO). Unfortunately, they’re likely to get deadlier. As greenhouse gas emissions make our planet hotter and wetter, disease-spreading mosquitoes are thriving.

With nations in South America battling some of the worst outbreaks of mosquito-borne disease in decades, the case of a British woman who caught dengue while on holiday in France last summer has sparked warnings about similar outbreaks in countries where insect-carried pestilence hasn’t previously been endemic. Climate change is making tropical diseases everybody’s problem.

Except temperatures haven’t risen in the last 8 years. Science is hard sometimes.

What warming?

NOAA Temperature Adjustments Correlate Exactly with the Rise in CO2 - Big Surprise

Thermometers show the US cooling since about 1920, but NOAA massively cools the past to create the appearance of a warming trend. These adjustments make a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering. When plotted against atmospheric CO2, the correlation is almost perfect. NOAA is tampering with the data exactly to match their theory.

NOAA Radiosonde Data Shows No Warming For 58 Years March 7, 2016

NOAA Fiddles With Climate Data To Erase The 15-Year Global Warming ‘Hiatus’ 6/4/2015

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year “pause” in global warming: They “adjusted” the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record. New climate data by NOAA scientists doubles the warming trend since the late 1990s by adjusting pre-hiatus temperatures downward and inflating temperatures in more recent years.

GISS US tampering.

NOAA = Fake Science!

Mosquitos make great food. But they need to be processed by trout first.

Trout are kind of like pigs.

I so went through these “data” quite some time ago as a minion of Anthony Watts by stopping by any number of NOAA USHCN “Stations” across the parts of the USA I tended to traverse.

I was just a minor minion, but did visit/survey more than a few “stations”.

It was a bit of a scavenger hunt at times.

In all of history there are only adverse cooling events that led to starvation and extinction. Can any of these ‘scientists’ name a warming event that was detrimental to life on earth? We all know that answer.

Yeah, things are tough all over.

I suggest stockpiling used engine oil. Pour it on ponds, lakes, and into streams. The oily
film on top of the water keeps the mosquitoes from breeding. And the best things about
this technique is that used engine oil is 100% organic.
