Is this Elon humor maybe? Live video at link. Waiting for live streaming to start.
Post when it actually starts - 27 minutes and nothing
One thought I had yesterday was sabotage by some woke SpaceX employee in order to discredit Musk.
Why did the safety guy not hit the destruct as soon as it started tumbling?
Now!
‘Trump did it’ ~ Mika Brzezinski
That was my first thought yesterday.................
if true, good move. industrial sabotage has a very long history....
I had that same thought, but wokesters could never figure out how to do that!
Mainly because it was supposed to "tumble" in order to get in proper position to separate from the booster. It didn't tumble much. And it did look like it had been self destructed. Lots of cheering in the video when it blew. Somewhat expected or anticipated?
Aliens want the moon and Mars to themselves?
;-)
Probably sabotage by some left-wing lunar on his technical team.
This ia an amazing live stream! The CEO having a round-table with six young employees and talking about whatever pops into anybody’s head.
The CEO at Bud Light should have done this for his crisis management.
The young folks all nodded in agreement when Musk was mildly attacking government as the ultimate monopolist.
Then the employee in the baseball cap said “Buying a Tesla EV is the best thing you can do to help fight the climate crisis” and lost all credibility with me. But everybody at the table nodded in agreement (no surprise).
Tesla and other major corporations quickly drift into cult status.
Agree with the boss or you are gone.
If Musk wants to make his rockets make it to the Moon and Mars and beyond he needs less yes men and more creative thinkers and problem solvers.
Weird. It just stopped. Blank screen.
YouTube ended the stream at 58 minutes with a “Thanks for watching.” That’s too bad. Does Google not want to give Musk more time?
Something stinks
Since this was the first launch the cheer was because the flight made it through max Q where the atmosphere and velocity exerts the most stress on the vehicle. They now know they can do this.
The tumble could have been planned as a turn, but no launch team wants a continuous tumble. That will be investigated to see what failed.
The person responsible for the destruct command would be allowed to wait until the latest time because of the information they were receiving, and at that altitude over water there was very low risk if destruct was delayed.
However, the destruct could have been initiated by break up and I suspect this is what happened.
Every corporation I’ve worked at had people who sucked up to the boss, his boss, and ultimately the CEO. To some extent, every corporation is a cult that worships the CEO. At least until things turn totally to Shee-It and the board steps in. Assuming you don’t have an ass-kissing board controlled by the CEO.
The most dramatic turn-around I saw was a weekend emergency board meeting that ousted the CEO on Sunday, installed a board member as a temporary CEO, told all hands on Monday “Steady as she goes, no big changes coming, keep doing your jobs” and, in short order divested 70 business units. The CEO went from cult hero for his acquisition strategy to persona non grata in a heartbeat.
