We have to get these idiots out of office reverse the idiotic things they’ve done the last couple of years...Get someone (Trump) in office who supports the American people and America....

In January 2022, Carlos Tavares, the CEO of Stellantis, a merger of Fiat, Chrysler, and Peugot to form the world’s fifth-largest carmaker, said EVs were “a technology chosen by politicians” and “imposed” on the auto sector.

I'm glad to see someone in the industry repeating this simple truth.

Jay Leno in his 1909 Baker Electric. Like he said on his show, it will climb any hill, at 23 mph; he also compared it to driving a telephone booth.

The overall goal is to destroy personal vehicle ownership via multiple strategies. For control and containment.

Just where is this electric energy going to come from? With a power grid that’s max out as it is, and everyone plugging in their EV after dinner, where that energy going to come from? There’s no solar at night when all this charging is happening, are the power companies going to buy a bazillion dry cells? Given the US has virtually no rare earth mineral deposits for battery construction, Joe is just putting more of our money into the pockets of his Chinese friends with maybe a little skimmed off the top for “The Big Man”. This entire thing reeks of corruption and the Media says nothing.

Also, the EV ‘technology’ is not welcome everywhere. Some European ferry services have banned EVs due to the battery fires. Some New York buildings have banned e-bikes and scooters due to battery fires.

While touting faster and faster charging times, they do not address the DAMAGE done when fast charging. Finland announced a new supercharger that could charge an EV in 15 minutes. No word on the significant damage such rapid charging inflicts on the batteries.

Kalifornia recently closed a perfectly good natural gas electricity power plant, and placed Tesla batteries inside the same buildings used to CREATE electric power. There is no word on how the batteries are charged. In the few years this new and exciting battery plant has been active, it has closed down twice due to....yes....battery fires. Sometimes when it closes down, it is not back online for months. No
word on what the humans do for electricity during the shutdown.

These ridiculous regulations will only lead to more non-compliance. If the government will not allow people to register ICE cars, they'll just drive without plates. People are doing it now all over St. Louis without consequence because they don't want to pay the taxes.

When they ban the sale of gasoline, the trouble really begins.

CO2 is not a pollutant. It is a good gas and necessary for life. I think we’re in a CO2 drought right now.

When you understand that the point of electric vehicles is to keep armed rebels from ever reaching D.C., it all makes sense. Collectivists always legislate against their fears, no matter how irrational.

One thing that is rarely mentioned is; at 30k miles the batteries have to be replaced at a cost of $30k dollars.

The supply chain issue of rare earth minerals and processing is what I think the main Achilles heal is for mass use of EV's. It's a political science thing, not a geology thing. For example, I'll use oil.

Every time the government limits access to oil and forces us to import more, there's always some of us old enough to remember when we drilled most of our own oil in this country. So we demand the government let us do that again, and eventually elect someone like Trump who gets government out of the way and we're happy.

Not so with rare earths. Even though there's lots of lithium and cobalt deposits in the United States, there's never been a time where we mass mined and processed them (because they weren't needed that much before the EPA became a thing). Thus there aren't Americans who even think about telling our political leaders to get out of the way and let us access them like we have people demanding we have access to oil.

I think that's the main reason Dims push for EV's. The rare earth supply chain production has little political lobby to make it happen here, so mass use of EV's means more foreign dependency more than mass use of ICE cars.

RB, I don’t think this is about forcing us into EVs. I think this is about collapsing our economy and our general use of natural resources.

I am in Washington DC for business. The power grid has gone down twice now so far. At 4:00 p.m. it went down for 45 minutes. Came back for a while and then went off again about 5 minutes ago. Good thing they have all these electric vehicles plugged in around this place.

The push for EVs, Biden claims, is necessary to cut global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

India has passed China as the worlds most populated countey wonder how Biden’s GGC (greenhouse gas commission) is doing there.
He doesn’t note how well China is helping with it wonder why Moe.
