Americans are drinking less beer after Bud Light, among others, raised their prices.
In AB InBev's (BUD) latest quarterly results, the total volume of beer sold decreased by 0.9%. At the same time, total revenue grew 10.2% to $14.67 billion, with price increases a key driver of that. After price increases and "really complicated" weather in the month of December, CEO Michel Doukeris called the Q4 results in the U.S. a "one-off, complicated quarter" in a call with investors.
Last quarter, the average price of a 24-pack of 12 oz. beer went up nearly 8%, per NielsenIQ data that was cited by Bump Williams Consulting. AB InBev's brands saw some of the highest price increases.
Under its portfolio, the price of Bud Light went up 8.9% year-over-year in Q4, followed by Budweiser, up 8.7%, Stella Artois up 8.2%, and Michelob UItra, up 6.7%.

I’ve been buying more than I used to.
So THIS is going to be the leftist media’s excuse for the drop in Bud Light sales? Suddenly, after two years of inflation, consumers decided that the one thing they could cut from their budget was their Friday evening six-pack of Bud!
Right!!!!!
Where is the “Sure, Jan” meme when you need it!?
I like to watch transexual reading hour with something ice cold from InBev.
Nobody wants to buy a beer which is so gay that not even the gays want to be seen drinking it.
Beer/Ale has WAY too much CO2.
Enjoy it while you can.
What, they’re going to try and excuse drop in AB InBev sales due to inflation and not due to their mentally ill man trying to imitate a woman? Maybe they can next hire someone in blackface?
“Nobody wants to buy a beer which is so gay that not even the gays want to be seen drinking it.”
Can you imagine the Friday night poker guys coming over to find the garage fridge stocked with Bud Light?
Anyway, this article is called “setting the narrative”. A slight reduction in last quarter’s AB’s beer sales will be evidence that this quarter’s extreme drop is totally due to inflation and not their trans-campaign marketing flop.

Blinded by Bud Light
Dressed up like a tranny
Standing with the Soros fight
Nobody @ AB has disavowed the notion that Bud Light is TransBeer.
c’est tragique
Whose screwup was that?
That is the date of publication for the Yahoo article.
Did y’all know a pellet rifle will make a full Bud Lite can explode damn near as well as a 22 long?
AND you can splode a whole case in your back yard?
Damn! that was fun. I wonder if I should go down to Dollar General and get another one for tomorrow.
Na. But I may go down and get some Pure Rocky Mountain Coors. To drink.
Yes, I got that from your last post. Some nitwit posted a six week old article.
Yes; I am a nitwit. I posted the article, because it has data re inflation that affects costs - in particular, regarding BUD, and therefore may affect the stock price about which there has been interest here at FR.
But also, the article’s inflation consideration - has affected other prices that I find at Walmart, where a lot of items are at least 10 percent or higher, than 1 year ago.
The article is from last month, but expect them to use this theme as one of their coping mechanisms to explain the terrible beer sales that are coming.
I’ll admit that was useful. I hadn’t noticed any price increases before.
