If you're thinking of picking up a new iPhone later this year you should probably think again if rumors of a new, higher price are to be believed. Especially if you had your eye on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Historically the most expensive iPhone of all, the Pro Max is reportedly going to break new ground and become the most expensive iPhone ever when the iPhone 15 series is announced this September. That's according to a new report by China's United Daily News.
According to that report the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost as much as RMB 20,000 which works out to be around $2,900 at the current exchange rate. To put that into perspective the iPhone 14 Pro Max currently sells for $1,099 in its 128GB configuration. Even the range-topping 1TB model sells for just $1,599. The prospect of Apple increasing the price so much is, frankly, insane. But that's what the report is claiming.

Yeah, but this iphone will be able to access the internet, make phone calls, and take pictures
It better have a soft fleshy opening on it.
The cost to manufacture things like Iphones have little to nothing to do with what Apple charges for them. Companies price their products at what the market will bear, not what they cost to manufacture them. Apple might sell 100 of these at $3000 and they know it so they won’t be priced there. I doubt Apple spends more than $100 manufacturing it’s most expensive phone, the rest is pure profit. Their bean counters know a $3000 phone won’t sell so there’s no way they’ll price it anywhere near that.
I'm glad you asked. This phone is ALMOST magical!! By staring at the screen for long periods of time, it helps you through the difficult transition process with your gender transformation. You will feel empowered with your new REAL gender identity and Apple helps you by distracting your brain functions and sending signals to the parts of the brain that makes everything just go smoother.
Will Apple brick the phone if you refuse to update it...?
I remember iPhones. Do they still sell those? I’ve been a Samsung user for ten years,
Liberal college students will line up to buy it. Only 120 dollars a month for 36 months or something stupid like that.
Hell I had a car loan offer for a customer than was 120 a month for 24 months. (Yes, people are getting loans for 3k cars. Its crazy)
It’s not the phone. It’s the carrier.
Nice op-ed on phones in today's Wall Street Journal.
Now, that’s funny.......
Last year, I bought an unlocked Galaxy A52 5G direct from Samsung for $420. It’s an awesome phone.
I then quit the “woke” AT&T and moved to T-Mobile which has a much better signal where I live and more services for less money.
I’ll stick with my flip phone, thankyouverymuch.
I’ve worked with T-Mobile and they are useless. It gets escalated and they do some more fiddling and resetting at the network end. It works better for two or three days, then the same problems come back. Each call to them takes over an hour.
The day we switched from Verizon to T-Mobile, the problems started. I dropped my wife off at the Spokane airport and tried to talk to my sister on the drive home. Calls to her dropped three times and wouldn’t connect a few more. That was close to two years ago. My phone is essentially a brick.
