This is the beginning of the end of Putin in Ukraine
Fox News ^ | 4/14/2023 | Jon Sweet

As the Ukrainian spring bloodily transitions into summer, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Generals are trying to manage a stalled, if not, failed winter offensive in the Donbas that has left as many as 75,000 Russian soldiers and Wagner Group mercenaries dead. As the Kremlin’s overall casualties continue to mount, upwards of 200,000 according to the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense, it is becoming increasingly clear we are likely seeing the beginning of the end of Putin in Ukraine – especially as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his Generals draw nearer Kyiv’s much-anticipated counteroffensive.

Ukraine is a vast Texas-size country. Kyiv’s counteroffensive could come from anywhere and everywhere. Given the vast expanse of land, Russian General Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov is facing a similar pivotal task to that of German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in World War II in defending Nazi-held France and Norway against an allied invasion of Europe. The ultimate outcome, like that of Normandy and Operation Overlord during the summer months of 1944 into fall, will likely dictate the outcome of Putin’s ‘special military operation.’

The question then becomes one of where, and how does Gerasimov set his defense: Donbas, Crimea, or elsewhere? Part and parcel to that question is also one of will Russian forces put up a fight, surrender, or simply lay down their arms and return to Russia? Thus far, the Russian military has not demonstrated a propensity to defend well. The nature of the battles waged in the Kherson Oblast in the fall last year may be a good indicator of future Russian battlefield performance in the defense – and influence when and where the point of Ukrainian attack.

You are either brain dead or a hopelessly biased propagandist, because Russia DOES invade, as it invaded Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2014 and again in 2022.==

Same back to you. Yu must stand facts straight.

invaded Georgia in 2008==

Georgians attacked Russian peacekeepers who ARE actually the part of her military. Just imagine someone attack US military base abroad for any reasons then what US will do?

Ukraine in 2014 ==

Defense of her people in Ukraine and returning her land stolen by soviet commies which Ukies held.

again in 2022.==

Thwarting an imminent attack on Donbass and liberation of Novorossiya.

Of course. My disgust for totalitarian monsters happily includes Putin, Xi, Kim, Castro, JE Hoover, etc.

But my real contempt is for war cheerleaders who are thousands of miles away from the fighting.

Prigozhin just sent out a press release asking Putin to stop the active phase of the war, go on defense and strengthen the occupied territories. Too funny!

Glad to hear it.

“But my real contempt is for war cheerleaders who are thousands of miles away from the fighting.”

It’s interesting, but most of the “war cheerleaders” are on the pro-Russia side. I and many like me simply want Russia to go back home and leave Ukraine alone. If we were war cheerleaders we’d be calling for Ukraine to invade Russia proper; but, we don’t, because we are not war cheerleaders. I am for Ukraine defending itself against the unwarranted invasion by a bigger and stronger neighbor. Just as I would be for Russia defending itself against an unwarranted attack by China. The Russo-Ukrainian War could end tomorrow if Russia simply went back home.

Prigo planning ahead after his continued failure in Bakhmut. Wants to save his remaining troops so he can take St Petersburg after Putin croaks.

C’mon don’t be a ukie))). Vagners made Bahmut a meat grinder for ukie troops which is a real goal of this battle.

One German general said in 19 century. “The main goal of any war is to destroy enemy troops. When you have done this the territory will fall to you by itself”.

“Georgians attacked Russian peacekeepers who ARE actually the part of her military.”

You are so consumed by Russian propaganda you can’t think straight. Russian-backed South Ossetian separatist forces started shelling Georgian villages; Georgian troops — which were part of a peacekeeping force that included Russians — responded to those attacks, which only intensified effectively breaking a peace agreement from 1992 between the separatists and Georgia. Georgian troops responded more forcefully and took control of much of the territory claimed by the separatists. Some Russian forces then joined the fray in Georgia in support of the separatists. Pretty similar to what Russia did in Ukraine in 2014 and 2022, eh?

“Just imagine someone attack US military base abroad for any reasons then what US will do?”

What Russian military bases were attacked PRIOR to Russia becoming the aggressor? None.

As for a US response to an attack, we’d probably do nothing, as our embassies and consulates and even some military facilities have been attacked by various parties over the last forty years, and we did squat. We could have used such attacks as pretexts to invade and annex some other country, as Russia routinely does; but, we didn’t.

“Defense of her people in Ukraine and returning her land stolen by soviet commies which Ukies held.”

Land that Russia recognized as Ukrainian in the early 1990s. So, nice try, Ivan.

“Thwarting an imminent attack on Donbass and liberation of Novorossiya.”

That’s a crock of @#$% and you know it. Donbas was and still is part of Ukraine, as was and still is “Novorossiya,” which is just eastern Ukraine. No one recognizes Russia’s illegal and undefined annexations of Crimea and eastern Ukraine, except for a handful of diehard communist “states” (and yet, the biggest communist state of all — China — does not recognize the annexations).

Give it up, Ivan.

You guys crack me up. You have nazis on the brain. Your hero’s PMC had nazis as its core, so why don’t you take up your nazi angst with them, and with Russia, which employed them?

But the fact is that the “nazi scare” was a trumped-up charge from the get-go, and you know it.

It is just a georgian lie.

“...MOSCOW, August 8 (Reuters) - More than 10 Russian peacekeepers have been killed during fighting in Tskhinvali, the capital of Georgia’s breakaway region of South Ossetia, news agencies quoted a top Russian military commander as saying on Friday.

“As a result of Georgian shelling more than 10 of our peacekeepers were killed and nearly 30 were wounded,” deputy commander of ground forces Igor Konashenkov said. (Writing by Oleg Shchedrov) https://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSL8187260 ...”

Peacekeepers are a members of military so attack on them is a casus belli.

This war started in 2014. And from this time ukies nazies killed about 15 thousands of people of Donbass. They were pretty insistent in it. And Russia must fight nazies who threaten our people. It is a casus belli.

This guy is a deputy of Zelenskij. Not just guy from street but highest official of Ukraine. And he obviously wants to murder all pro Russians there. DO you think Russia knowing this would sit on her hands? Think again.

What Russian BASES, Ivan; which is what you claimed. None. Russian forces joined the fight against Georgia, and some were killed by Georgian forces.

Your source is a “top Russian military commander.” You crack me up. Did you ever hear of the cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov and later the Soyuz 11 crew? We listened to their comms as they were crashing to their deaths, and then we read the lying tripe that the Russian authorities trotted out as the “official” reports of the mishaps, and they were nothing like what we heard direct from the sources themselves. We listened to all your stuff, Ivan.

“This war started in 2014. And from this time ukies nazies killed about 15 thousands of people of Donbass.”

Another lie you Russian propagandists trot out on a regular basis. The agreed upon number between 2014 and January, 2022 was some 14,000 people were killed, a majority of whom were combatants (i.e., armed forces). Some 3500 civilians were killed, including the 280-odd passengers and crew of the airliner MH17 that was shot down by Russian-backed forces using a Russian-supplied missile system.

As for some flunky talking smack about pro-Russians in Ukraine, he is responding to them supporting the invasion of his country! Your own flunkies in Russia have said much worse about Ukrainians. So, don’t run away from the equivalency factor, Ivan.

You're clueless, Marcus.

Russia IS on the defensive in the annexed territory and its clearing out that territory.

You admit the New World Order exists but don’t understand that is what this war in Ukraine is all about — advancing its interests? That is unbelievable.

I’ve heard this tune before. Repeatedly.

The propaganda in regards to the Russia/Ukraine war reminds me much of the media reports regarding Donald Trump from the time he announced his candidacy forward and even to this day.

It’s not that I’m rooting for war, but I recognize CIA/State Dept. propaganda when I see it. If you add up the numbers that the media has said has died or equipment that has been destroyed during this war, Russia should no longer have any tanks, artillery, or even any male citizens at all left to fight with.

Unless the Western world gets serious about requiring some peace talks, this war is going to keep going and even escalate further and drag on for years before ultimately resulting in mutual destruction.
