Only MTG bothered to show up in NY during the Trump indictment. Where is everyone? Where is the unity? Where is the backing of Trump by the very people we voted for? Where are the statements condemning this as a party on this day? They want us to ‘come out’ and support them but I don’t see them supporting us. A historic day - no republican politicians (except MTG) anywhere……what more do you need to know about the democrat self serving cowards we voted for?

I think most people are waiting to see what he is being charged with. People voted for Trump because he made sense, because we are generally looking for decent policies that most of the electorate can agree with, not because we are all looking for a personality cult that we can uncritically embrace.
I for one have a growing sense that SALT tax has a lot to do with this, and that should become more or less evident when they finally tell us the charges being leveled at candidate Trump.

If this case is as weak as Lester Holt and the others I am watching seem to be assuming it is, this will probably look like complete b.s. to the voting public (once the charges are known), and that could be very significant in a case that New York has chosen to try in the court of public opinion. I don’t think it is any fluke that the public campaign of ridicule against George Santos ended abruptly when he offered to vote to do away with the SALT tax.
This could lay bare the banana republic road these guys have embraced, and I don’t think people will stand for it, should this turn out to be nothing more than a partisan witch hunt.
It may be that this case is flimsy partisanship, and that these guys are doubling down on insisting that Trump voters are a bunch of antifa-like cultists in order to coerce some weak link to commit violence in order to use that to convict Trump and the MAGA movement, since he did ask people to take to the streets. I think they could add that charge but I also think that most MAGA people smell big hairy rats because the whole thing looks bonkers.
