The unnamed 43-year-old woman was getting ready to go for a run on the Whistle Stop Trail, a countryside rail trail that runs through central Maine, when the lurking cow sprang upon her.
“Officers met with the female, who reported that she had been charged by the male bovine as she prepared for a jog,”
“She was lifted off the ground by the animal’s horns but was able to escape into the nearby tree line,”
The woman was left with a cut that needed stitches, but she was not taken to the hospital, the network said.

BTW, shouldn’t you be doing taxes and not FReeping?
😃
Yep, don’t tell you saw me here.
LOL!
Yes, a “male bovine” is a bull. Bulls belong to the subfamily Bovinae and exhibit more aggressive and dominant behavior than steers, which have been castrated.
That’s for sure.
Mending fences is something a farmer cannot put off. We live next to a highway and our nightmare scenario was a cow getting loose and causing a multi car accident with serious injuries or death.
So we kept our fences “high and tight”
(Snicker, snicker)
We raised Black Angus and the only danger I remember was when castrating them.
I never blamed the bulls soon to be steers.
(haha) 🤣🤣🤣
I put it up after the neighbor's Evil Goat (tm) decided to pay us a visit and found her self being corralled by Evangeline and Priscilla.
Evil Goat has not been back.
Most of the neighbors think it is funny.
The woman is to blame. Poor cow was misgendered, what did she expect would happen?
If I recall correctly, normally you would take a steer to market before he got old enough for horns. They are not good for anything else.
It's almost as if they don't want to assume genders of bovines now in order to bring justification to the weird ideas that are in vogue about human gender.
I will defer to you as the expert in unmitigated BS, I was just putting forth what I heard.
Ahhh, this thread brings back memories of some of the early days of FR. We laughed a lot back then. Reading this thread made me laugh from beginning to end. Thanks guys...er gals...??? whatever.
“Am I wrong about this? Isn’t a “male bovine” a bull?”
Why do you assume it to be a male?
