If the company got along fine with these employees working from home for 2-3 years, then it’s pointless to entice them back.

Save the company a lot of money by eliminating these unnecessary overhead expenses.

telework is a total scam. People in the office are doing the actual work. Teleworkers are just creating more work for the people in the office. Get rid of them.

If it's priming the pump to get folks back to the office, that's one thing.

But doggie day care? That's discriminatory to people who have pet alpacas.

Or replace them with 1 in office for every 2 stay at home employees

Well there’s “get along fine” and there’s “get along fine”. Technically my company got along fine during WFH. But, with people back in the office we definitely got the afterburners going again. Just being in the same area to discuss things has spawned feature ideas, and being able to holler over to somebody makes the work faster. Offices exist for a reason, and being together does actually help productivity.
