During Wednesday evening’s episode, contestant Karen Morris made a bad choice with her bet when it came to the final rounds of the trivia show — and she lost big time.
Morris was in the lead with earnings of $21,800, while the other players had scored $7,100 and $6,400. During the Double Jeopardy segment, Morris opted for a huge bet — $10,000 — in an attempt to emerge as the victor of the game.
“This artist the younger was working on yet another portrait of Henry VIII when he died in 1543,” host Ken Jennings said in giving her the clue, and the veterinary student, head shaking, struggled to come up with an answer before time ran out.

I thought wolfie was the dumbest player ever
If I was on Jeopardy, with a huge unsurmountable lead, and the final Jeopardy subject was “artists”, I would bet zero, if it was “political figures”, I would be tempted to bet.
They aren’t saying she’s dumb because she got easy questions wrong. They are saying she had a huge lead that was more than four times what the remaining questions were worth, and she bet almost half of it on a Daily Double. It is not just about winning, but how much you get. If she was doing well, and she liked the category, the Daily Double wager might not have been the end of the world. It COULD have meant that she wanted $10,000 more.
Were THESE people any better?

I once watched Wolf Blitzer fail to figure out and go through a turnstile at a Washington DC office building. The Rent-a-Cop had to get up from his comfortable chair and help him through it.
