“ They use liquid methane fuel rather than RP1. Looks like Stage 1 functioned properly, and Stage 2 failed to ignite.”

All right…. who the hell forgot to load the matches?

Like the Hall and Oates song, She’s gone....Stage 2 malfunction.

Curious what their telemetry will say. I believe Relativity also 3D prints their turbo pumps. Good start for them anyway.

So does it burn up or land?

At the point where the safety officer decides it is a no-go they use the destruct package and destroy it so there is no chance of it damaging or killing people.

That announcer girl on the right is really cute. Hope they have success soon, looks like a good company. Unlike *ahem* Astra.

As the saying goes rockets are hard. They got lots of data, might take one or two more. Wish I had stock in the company.

Successful stage 1 launch. Passed Max Q. Passed stage 1 separation. Anomaly failing to light stage 2 engine.
Here’s a video of them printing the rocket and engine.

So if you can get your printer and resource harvesting equipment safely launched and landed, you’ve got planet hopping!

What am I listening for ? I hear the audio hitting the waveform clipping ceiling at times. I don’t hear a phase shift or pitch change, do you ?

From 1:22:36 to 1:22:49 an exquisite tone bend from 60Hz to 30Hz. Probably wouldn’t hear it without an equalizer tuned to drive sub woofers. Please excuse the enthusiasm of an extremely low frequency addict.

I got a pair of JBL monitor cabinets from the 1980s. I will listen again. 12” on this 3-way cabinet. Never had to replace anything. At nearly 44 years now.
