IIRC I read my enlistment contract in the USAF
and Pay was optional. All that was promised was 3 hots, a cot, and medical.
The Russian were promised far more than we were.
Luckily, USA soldiers, sailors and airmen are taken much better care of( mostly, it is still crap).
I can’t imagine why a Russian soldier would take that BS.
Thankfully they don’t have a Non-Com core. They might actually be very effective if they did.
The a$$hole Commissioned officers would be gone.
Romans, Greeks, Germans, and Americans know who wins wars.
It isn’t officers, they just manage supplies, and plan .
