Methodist Bible college in the U.K. fired a Christian theologian and threatened to report him as a terrorist because of his tweets in opposition to homosexuality, his attorneys claimed.
Dr. Aaron Edwards, who taught theology at Cliff College in Derbyshire, England, was dismissed from the school after being accused of "bringing the college into disrepute" on social media last month.
"Homosexuality is invading the church," Edwards tweeted on Feb. 19. "Evangelicals no longer see the severity of this [because] they're busy apologizing for their apparently barbaric homophobia, whether or not it's true.
"This *is* a ‘Gospel issue,’ by the way. If sin is no longer sin, we no longer need a Savior," Edwards added.
Edwards' tweet went viral and prompted blowback, to which Edwards responded: "That *is* the conservative view. The acceptance of homosexuality as ‘not sinful’ *is* an invasion upon the Church, doctrinally. This is not controversial. The acceptance is controversial. Most of the global Church would agree. It is not homophobic to declare homosexuality sinful..."

They are the terrorists.
Well, dememted authoritarians.
A friend who used to do house concerts would rent out his local UU church if he had an act that went beyond doing events at his house. It was always interesting checking the place out. Lots of rainbow flags, of course.
God BLESS this professor who is standing up for the truth!
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for what we now say is acceptable.
Judgement is coming!
After the vote was over and the results were announced, one guy stood up and called those of us who voted to leave an "abomination" (wonder where he got that from) and screamed that he would pray for us. He has a daughter who is a lesbian.
I wanted to stand up and point to him and yell, "It's a homo-lovin' heathen...let's string 'em up.";-)
But I didn't.
Our church vote in Phenix City, Alabama went 190 to disaffiliate and five to stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the margin. A two-thirds vote was required for separation from the UMC. Alabama’s Truman Capote would be welcome in our church ... but not as a minister.
Went to the Methodist church for years and NEVER heard the Gospel. It took my wife to get me to go to a different church before I was saved.
Yeah that works too
Bible college? He was in enemy territory.
(God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for what we now say is acceptable.)
Yep
(Judgement is coming!)
Absolutely.

Hopefully all of this asinine wokeness by certain denominatio ns will result in the disenfranchised to seek out churches that teach the fundamental truth. Hopefully they Will see the light and see just how wicked their denomination has become, and start to seek God on his terms rather than on the conditions of woke preachers who have created a god in THEIR own image
(Bible college? He was in enemy territory)
Once the liberals took over, a lot of once-conservative seminaries ARE enemy territory.
I worked with several that sat under liberal professors.
They almost all, to a person, saw absolutely nothing wrong with Barack and his agendas.
My former boss was a social justice liberal with mannerisms very similar to Bronco Bama. And he operated by “feelings” - when push-came-to-shove, a betrayer.
God destroyed the (unnamed) organization 4 years later. They now exist in a much smaller form. They had exchanged conservative teachings for Liberal agendas.
The hour is very, very late
Heh
According to “Wikipedia”
“The Wesleyan Methodist Minister and theologian, Samuel Chadwick, was principal of the college from 1913 to 1932.”
(What is amazing is how many Methodists believe that homosexuality is no longer a sin.)
And others, across many denominations, siding with the godless.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-12
King James Version
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

When I explained to a friend what the Bible says about homosexuality, he went into a rant about how abused they have been.
I told him that I agree that abuse is wrong. In fact, I encourage homosexuals to fill the pews. Then, like the rest of us, they can hear the Gospel and repent.
But I don't think they should be in the pulpit or in leadership any more than an unrepentant adulterer or alcoholic should be.
And I don't think we should tell them that homosexuality isn't a sin. It seems to me that lying about the sin of homosexuality to a homosexual is almost as great a sin as being an active homosexual.
If we do that, we are basically telling them that if they take the road to hell it will somehow lead them to Heaven.

Homosexuality?
For over 50 years they haven’t even believed fornication is a sin.
They define love as acceptance of somebody fulfilling their personal desires. They have rejected the idea of natural law, although God Himself has not rejected natural law and those who have rejected natural will find this out for themselves.
Back when I used to drive from UGA to visit friends at Auburn, we used to sometimes pass through Phenix City. Back then it was known as the Las Vegas of the South for its gambling, prostitution, and drugs. Is that still the case?
“...I don’t think they should be in the pulpit or in leadership any more than an unrepentant adulterer...”
Yes, and it seems to me that most married men who chase their secretary around her desk or chase other women would not deny that their behavior is wrong. Most of the Don Juans and the Casanovas are not interested in presenting their behavior as acceptable and normal in children’s literature.
Many homosexuals are relentless in their efforts to get LGBTQP tendencies celebrated. And that is a decisive difference.
