Want to Know What the Server Really Thinks of You?
No
So is this some sort of jedi mindtrip to make people feel guilty about not paying enough to their waiters? whahahaha
It’s hard to love your fwllowman, when you are in a position of needing to earn a living while tolerating abuse.
Why, no. No, I don't. What I want is for the server to take my order and bring what I asked for quickly. I don't want the server to be my friend, and I'm not interested in the server's opinions about anything, including the food. Yes, I tip handsomely for good service.
Ok, I never go to any restaurant that has reservations, table seating by host, drink refills that I can’t get myself, or expects tips.
Snowflake sob story
No one forced them to work in a restaurant
Think it’s hard waiting tables?
Try cooking the food and getting no tips
And I have no desire to know their name. . .and I refuse to give them my first name. . .my name when dining is “Mr XXXXXX” and this makes clear, not in a overly rude way, this is a professional interaction, not-a-lets-be-friends-exercise.
I’m perfectly happen to go pick up my own food at the counter and take it to my table. There’s no need for waiters / waitresses. All they do is add more unneeded cost to the ticket for their tip and then i have to sit there waiting for them to come around when i need the check or a refill.
Honestly, this seems like a profession that could be easily eliminated from society. These people should be happy they can make decent money for an unskilled position. I’m not saying it’s an easy job. I worked a lot of restaurants when i was younger. But it offers a decent wage to those without degrees or special training. They should be grateful.
Another whiny waiter complaining that you don’t tip enough...
This is very true.
How someone treats a waiter or waitress tells me nearly everything I need to know about them.
So.... having a normal job makes it hard for you to love your fellow man?
Ever considered the problem is not with them?
What’s a fwllowman?
Most normal jobs don’t come with the expectation that you can abuse those serving you. Try it with your mechanic and tell me how long he puts up with it.
Mistype on phone. It is supposed to be fellowman.
Our local service department has customer service reps on staff to take the abuse—the mechanics get left alone.
