Half of everyone on earth has a below average IQ.
So there’s that. FWIW.
I think that intellect is somehow a soul thing.
That it exits beyond physicality.
And has absolutely nothing to do with genetics., (within species), other than to “tweak” them

East Asians didn’t just get their higher average IQ overnight and haven’t been privileged or in more favorable environs in their history.
I personally think that people have gotten intellectually lazy and don’t want to think. We live in a time of ‘Bread and Circuses”. People want to eat and be entertained - not grow and reach out beyond themselves (unless it involves a blog or a YouTube channel). The passion that led Michelangelo to lie on his back painting the Sistine Chapel is gone.
Ask any teenager ‘how dumb’ their parents are. Then ask them again when that teen is in his/her 30’s. ;)
Dogs are bred for traits.
Most breads will display uncanny intellect if provided the training.
Orientals and East Asians are usually compelled to achievement.

Many if not most people we know, who use cell phones, don’t know their own cell phone. We never dial our own number.
The best memories in our family are: My wife, one of our sons, a DIL and a granddaughter. Each one gets by in their daily life with about a six~to a dozen phone #’s in their memories. The rest of the time they use their cell-phone’s #’s stored in the phone’ memory or office phone’s stored #’s.
For the rest of us, we just verbally enter the name we want to call, and our phones do the job.
Does that makes most of us dumber and the very few smarter?

My wife was in an online course from a college in Maine that included a social worker from Florida. She made the remark that one common saying of her clients is: have another baby, get a raise.
He says average IQ is presently 100 it will be 85 by the end of this century among Americans of European descent.

Like evolutionist Stephen Jay Gould stated, evolution occurs in spurts and halts.
I suspect our growth of civilizations occurred the same way, but spurred by one genius, who inspired centuries of follow-up intelligence.
People that are unfortunate and have to endure genetic defects are usually constrained by that disadvantage.
It does not mean that they less intelligent.
Jumbled pathways, access to memory, motor disfunction can
all contribute to the perception of lower IQ.
A doctor I sometimes encountered on his rounds in a stroke ward, one day became a bed-patient there.
He could not vocalize other than a grunt. Could not read-write or walk.
But his intellect was still there.

In 77 years/aka the end of this century, most if not everyone, who is reading this B$/stuff will be dead.
