I went on a few coon hunts including one windy night. Amazing watching someone shoot a coon out of the top of a tree that’s swinging back and forth a few feet. He may not have made it past the 7th grade but can shoot like a ..............

No shooting last night, just treeing and shining for points. BUT - Coon Season is back in full swing again, and it never stops if you’re on your own land or have permission to hunt another’s.

The BIG excitement was that they had a new kid show up who is just 16 and has only hunted a few times so far. Beau took him with his cast, as they were all seasoned hunters. The kid had a good time and will be back, he said.

Sadly, it’s a dying sport, so they are always thrilled to get the youngsters involved. Beau is the ‘youngster’ in his hunting group...and he’s 63! ;)
