When I was a little kid, I, for whatever reason, was fascinated by sloths and read everything I could find about them.
While they are known for their slow movement and glacial metabolism, when threatened they can render some lightning fast slashes with their claws (the two toed variety is a bit more aggressive than their three toed cousins).
