It has emerged that Russia is quickly reconditioning hundreds of old T-62 tanks to serve in Ukraine - a tank design 60 years old! Some are being taken from museums! But Russia is not the only country to plunder museums for vehicles and spare parts, as this videos shows.
i always said, any/all monetary assistance should be born by countries not sending martial goods
They need heavy equip to equip their new million man army. Do we have enough angry lesbians and tranny freaks to fight them?
Somebody better tell the USAF about the dangers of using old weaponry. Those B-52s ain’t getting any younger.
Its getting new Rolls-Royce engines!

Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for March 16, 2023:
- Russian warplanes intercepted and apparently clipped the propeller of a US MQ-9 drone carrying out surveillance near Crimea;
- The US has no means of recovering the drone, though Russia may have an opportunity to recover it;
- While the drone operated in international airspace according to the US, it was collecting intelligence on behalf of Ukraine as part of ongoing hostilities, as a party of the conflict and thus threatening Russian national security;
- Bakhmut continues to face encirclement;
- The Western media has begun admitting to the grim deterioration of Ukraine’s forces under the weight of Russia’s strategy of attrition;
- Ukraine has lost the majority of troops trained by NATO over the last 8-9 years;
- Ongoing NATO training is rushed, incapable of meeting or exceeding Russia’s pool of trained manpower;
- Ammunition and weapons are also admittedly running out;
- Ukraine may or may not be diverting reserves for an upcoming spring offensive to instead fight in Bakhmut;
- Any possible counteroffensive around Bakhmut might indicate just how badly deteriorated Ukraine’s forces have become;
Old Russian tanker adage:
“Out of gas, become a pillbox.
Out of ammo, become a bunker.
Out of time, become a hero”.
Wonder if anyone here realizes the M1 Abrams Tank design is now 50 years old and the first ones rolled off the assembly lines in the late 70’s...
Before you crow too loudly, you might want to check out the age of our B-52 fleet.
That’s very Russian, isn’t it? They have a kind of fatalism about them that reminds me of the Muslims with their all-encompassing ‘Insh’allah’ (As God wills it) in which they blithely accept whatever fate hands out to them.
I will give credit to the Russians, though, they accept defeat better than most people can.
They have been consistently and repeatedly re-manufactured over the years. There’s a plant in Ohio dedicated to their upgrades.

T 34’s against Abrams?
well, there’s enough, but they don’t have to motivation...
neither one of you even read the caption...
it talks about SEVERAL countries scavenging parts
Yes I’ve been to Lima many times. that doesn’t change the fact that the base design is 50 years old. Same with the B-52 being 70 years old and planned to be in use up to 100 years. Maybe we can have a discussion about the M2 .50 cal machine gun? Age of the design doesn’t mean something isn’t effective...
