Bttt
First of all, it's not "funding" and it isn't to BLM solely. It is an aggregation of "corporate contributions and pledges to the Black Lives Matter movement and related causes from 2020 to the present."
That's QUITE different from the headline.
Second, I clicked through a few of the links. It's a stretch to call some of the entities with which these corporations are working, to be "related causes" to BLM. Entities that are trying to improve the lives of minorities aren't ipso facto related to BLM. Parenthetically, many folks rant about "why don't blacks clean up their own community?" But then an entity pops up to do just that, and now they're a pro-riot communist organ?
Third, I know people who work in these companies and, without revealing sources, they have avoided BLM and their ilk assiduously.
But hey, it'll get clicks for Claremont because..ya know..Dems Bad and stuff.
I thought sloppy reporting, playing fast and lose with the facts, and sensational headlines was a leftist trait. I guess not...and we can now put Claremont in the same "conservative" new media toilet with Gateway Pundit, American Thinker, and NewsBusters.
I parents taught me at a very early age that one cannot buy friends.
I wonder how much more was laundered from government funds, ‘COVID relief’, and ‘Infrastructure’.
Impossible. On Tucker Carlson’s show tonight I believe he said it was $ 83 million.
83 billion? Good God they’d be able to start their own country with THAT much coin.
BLM = DNC
BLM is another politicians money laundering scheme.
Ask companies you deal with if they know that BLM was formed as an avowed MARXIST organization.
Let us know what they say, if anything.
If this is true, then we’re done with all this reparations nonsense. If it’s not true, then we’re still done with it.
Thanks for the list. Now I’ll have to pay more attention to where I spend my money.
BLM is just continuing the race hustle that Jesse Jackson patented:
1) Invite yourself to a meeting with a large company’s board of directors.
2) Tell them “it’s a nice company you have here, it would be a shame if something were to happen to it”
3) Profit
For instance...
Bank of America "gave" more than $18 billion.
Actually, Bank of America promised to invest $18 billion (aka - loan $18 billion) in all sorts of racial equity projects over an extended period of time.
Regardless, the actual amount of money being donated to BLM has to be publicly reported and independently audited each year.
I will withhold judgment until I see the BLM 2022 Financial Statement.
Bank of America $18,250,000,000.00 dolarinos
And where is any evidence a solitary dime went to the welfare of their people?...
The website is misrepresenting donations to all kinds of social causes as “BLM and related causes”.
The money is multi-year projections to various organizations, most of which do not appear to be BLM, but do include various racial related organizations. 3M was donating to the UNCF. Not BLM but it is a racially related fund. The first link under BOA is to Chinese related organizations.
83 billion is 1000x higher than previously reported donations. My guess is the BLM person who came up with that number is bad at math (or messed up the donations table).
Yeah and in the case of BOA, invested in projects, probably means loans. The community reinvestment act requires them to put a portion of the deposits they raise from communities back into those communities. So they get deposits from blacks and some of that money goes back in the forms of loans to various projects in black communities.
That’s a big difference than funding BLM.
Notable names not on the list; Colt, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Beretta....
Major shakedown. It looks like everybody “donated”. Like local shopkeepers “donated” to the Gambino family.
