Rush Limbaugh’s widow, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, has sold her husband’s longtime Florida compound of 20-plus years for a whopping $155 million.

This marks a record for the Palm Beach area, which has seen a slew of big-time deals in the past few years, according to the Wall Street Journal.

In 2013, hedge funder Ken Griffin paid $129.6 million for four parcels in the area, making that the most recent record — until now.

I miss this man so much. It's also sad the house is sold since I don't live too far away....like another hit of his loss.

I'm assuming Katherine moved back to Hawaii to her mom?

I think I read that Rush Limbaugh paid 8.5 million for the property and then a bunch of money remodeling it, a nice piece of equity to cash out from the sale.

I hope this rich, attractive widow is not seduced by some left wing playboy.

Thanks, I knew it wasn’t a lot of money relatively speaking, considering the location.

Buy it for 3.9 million, put maybe 1 million into remodeling it, sell it 25 years later 155 million, not bad.

Hmmm....so i just found this. He bought 2 more parcels and built on them, so $3.9 was only his first house.

Rush bought the first of what became his 3-acre estate in 1999 for $3.9 million. By 2001 he had acquired at least two neighboring parcels and a built a 24,000 square foot palatial mansion that looks out at 25o feet of ocean frontage. There are four additional structures on the estate, including a 24-hour guard station and Rush's custom-built broadcasting studio.

I turned off my radio the day he died, and I haven't turned it on since.

Rush was that once-in-a-century amalgam of Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. He can't be replaced.

24,000 square feet sitting on 2.7 acres of palm beach ocean front..

yeah, I can believe the price. Nice homes in the Austin Texas area can easily sell for over $2,000 per square foot. That would make the home alone worth over $50 million, then 2.7 ACRES of waterfront property in PALM BEACH! yeah... a quick search of palm beach empty lots shows many on the market for around $100 million an acre. So this one at 2.7 acres with a 24,000 square foot house.. easily that price

Yes, it was an enormous loss to our country. There is no replacement. Since his passing the GOPe has run wild. They rightfully feared him. I think he could have stopped that dreadful omnibus bill for example, that was the reach of his influence.
