Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, 36, divulged this week that her 17-year-old son will make her a grandmother next month.
Boebert was caught on video by Patriot Takes speaking at an event hosted by the conservative group Moms for America when she shared the news that son Tyler and his girlfriend are expecting a son.
'So I'm going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting, that not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April I will be a gigi to a brand new grandson. And Jason and I are so excited to welcome this new life into our family,' she said.

At 17 Ann?
Parents will likely raise this kid
I would
My Grandmother had my Uncle in December of 1946. My Grandfather married her in June of 1946. You do the math. But at least my Grandfather did the right thing and married my Grandmother.
A conservative contribution to the 42% single mother birthrate.
It takes a village’s taxes to raise a child.
Amen. So sick of the acceptance and, here, even praise of this behavior. It is destroying the family.
I don’t care who ya are, that right there’s funny.
I’m torn. On one hand I’m thankful the kids aren’t going the pp route. On the other hand I wonder the true character of “Grandma”, abstinence wasn’t discussed I guess.
My wife and I both had and have talks with our daughters. As of the most recent conversation with mom they said they’re still pure. Oldest said she’s waiting until marriage and she is an adult.
In order to raise good, well adjusted kids you have to be a parent first.
This is at least the second thread on this subject.
I’m surprised how very few people commenting have mentioned adoption as something to be considered.
We don’t know the circumstances of this young man and the girl, but there’s an excellent chance that she will drop out of school and never finish, and there’s an excellent chance he will be working at some dead-end jobs, and never advance in a career.
At such a young ages, there’s an excellent chance this relationship is not going to survive , whether they get married or not
Honestly This story is old as dirt
A child with two loving parents, and an involved family, is the best for the child. Whether adopted by, or birthed by, doesn’t matter so much.
Sinners all, yes, we are.
Or it’s so common among her flavor of white trash it’s not worth mentioning.
Like Mother, like Son... She got pregnant and dropped out of high school.
. . . says the reviser.
“She got pregnant and dropped out of high school.”
And because of that she’s done nothing of importance since then.
Well I’m 52 and my granddaughter is just turning 2. I guess I’m late.
Civilization will do just fine with this sort of thing.
What’s killing us are these legions of women that want college, career, retirement funds, 3 trips around the world then maybe they will try and have a kid at 36.
Stuff happens at least they’re dealing with the new arrival in the best way they can which is more than a lot of people do
I hope things go well and the parents can make a long term family and get married
“And because of that she’s done nothing of importance since then.”
I guess you don’t know her then.
Age 17 too young to have a baby?
Researchers have said that there was a certain “virgin” who was between 12 to 14 years old, not married, and living with an older man when she became pregnant.
The birth of her child has been celebrated for 2,000 years.
Sometimes life is a better educator than high school.
That’s slander. No way she was that young.
Oh BS. I had my first at 18, there were hardships but those just go with life.
We were young enough to thoroughly enjoy our grandkids and still young enough to enjoy our two great grandchildren, hopefully with more to come.
We just celebrated our 52nd anniversary on Monday.
Especially in this crazy world there are 40 yr olds who aren’t mature enough to become parents.
