A Popeye’s recently opened up about a half-hour away from us. I’ve been there several times these past few months. I don’t use their drive-thru, and go into the restaurant to order. They are usually extremely busy when I do go, but haven’t experienced any kind of attitude from the workers who are mostly black. This is a majority white area in the Mohawk Valley of NY State.

We have a Popeyes near us next to Wendy’s & Cook Out. I rarely see any customers at Popeyes, but the lines at the other two restaurants are very long.

We haven’t tried Popeyes yet.

I’m just gonna fry my own chicken from now on. It’s not hard, Mom taught me, just a little messy but tase so much better. And the cold pieces the next day are so good.

The founder was a self made success story from Louisiana named Copeland, a white guy. He passed from cancer. Today Popeyes is owned by Restaurant Associates, a Canadian outfit. I doubt there’s any institutional anti white bias. But the one in my area has a mainly black staff so maybe the staff in question here had a problem. BTW I find Chick FIL A chicken sandwiches to be better, but Popeyes sides are better and their pieces are better than KFC.
