The founder was a self made success story from Louisiana named Copeland, a white guy. He passed from cancer. Today Popeyes is owned by Restaurant Associates, a Canadian outfit. I doubt there’s any institutional anti white bias. But the one in my area has a mainly black staff so maybe the staff in question here had a problem. BTW I find Chick FIL A chicken sandwiches to be better, but Popeyes sides are better and their pieces are better than KFC.
I’ve never had Chick Fil A as there isn’t one anywhere near us. I think the closest one is about an hour away. I like Red Robin but it’s an hour away too, as are most of the other popular chain restaurants. We have an Applebee’s, Moe’s, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell, and Arby’s. Once in a blue moon I’ll go to Moe’s, and rarely go to any of the others. This weekend I’m heading to Troy to visit my oldest son. We’re going to Outback Steak House Saturday night. The Outback that was a half-hour away went out of business about 8 years ago. I’d gone there one week to order take-out, and the next week when I went it was closed.
