I’m just gonna fry my own chicken from now on. It’s not hard, Mom taught me, just a little messy but tase so much better. And the cold pieces the next day are so good.
I would get some box combo at Popeyes about once a quarter, especially during football season, but the last box of spicy I got was not very good. So I decided it was probably my last trip to Popeyes.
Now my wife fries me chicken wings using Hooters breading and then I add Hooter Hot Chicken Wing Sauce, very good. Recommend you try it.
My youngest son likes Popeye's spicy 8 piece chicken meal. I'm more of a boneless chicken person. I used to fry chicken in a cast iron frying pan years ago, but haven't done it in a long time. About the only thing I cook in oil these days is stir fry meat and vegetables in my electric wok. One of the best purchases I ever made.
Get a nuwave oven (basically its an air fryer)
Toss a chicken in, cover it with salt and/or poultry spices, and you’re good.
