Who's behind Ron DeSantis, then?
FR ^ | March 3 | RF

Posted on 03/02/2023 11:51:39 PM PST by RandFan

I have some genuine questions and I have no malice against Ron DeSantis or his supporters but a few things trouble me about him!

He has the tacit support of the Bushes.

I know they want anyone but Trump but as one Freeper put it: Will he blow kisses back?

What does having their support mean? Does it mean Karl Rove becomes an advisor? Campaign cash, staff and what not?

Think about it.

It's not just some throw away endorsement by them it comes with serious muscle, donors, etc.

He's also visiting Texas instead of CPAC.

Will he be hanging out with Ron Paul or the Bush clan?

This will be telling to me.

I notice Fox and Murdoch are also pushing him heavily.

Again, anyone but Trump is the cry but that also comes with serious muscle and TV/media coverage.

Will DeSantis sell his soul for all this and to try and be president and if he succeeded with all these connections just WHAT kind of president will he be?

THIS is what I'm thinking and what worries me.

I much prefer Trump the disruptor. Tried and tested and you know what you're getting.

Whether you like him or not Ron is much more of a conventional politician.

Just some thoughts, FRiends...

Valid question, particularly since it’s patently clear that the operation to destroy him has begun.

“After many years of watching this charade I have come to the conclusion that they are all in on it but just play different roles”

I came to the same conclusion a couple of years ago. We are like Rome in so many ways. Rome kept the Senate running for show, after the dictators took over.

Looking back, most of my votes which I trusted.....were wasted on people who pretended to be what they were not.

The elections are now drama to keep us distracted.

The ROI on my votes is pathetic. Many votes over the years and only my votes for Reagan and Trump turned out O.K.

You mean like your sily comments?

I guess you loved lockdowns, Fauci’s face everywhere, spending us into oblivion, letting violent mobs cause billions in damage. Noted.

So if you’re a senator and want to run for governor...you have to leave the Senate first. Makes no sense at all.

It makes all the sense this world can offer. Consider that most $inators that run for President every 4 year cycle know damn well they don't resonate with the public so the only reason they run is for their bank account, then run back to hide for 4 years. If you have the courage of your convictions, prove it. Why should someone get paid to be a $inator while running around on the campaign trail. Nothing justifies this act.

I will argue that your votes were not wasted. The candidates for which you voted that were not elected simply they did not have the political strength to win.

Politics is the art of the possible.

It turns out that what you voted for was just not possible

Not the Bushes that were Presidential timber endorsed him.

Let’s recall the R party Presidential timber after Reagan.

Bush,Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney..

Then Trump

Your Conservative R party sucks at sending their best..

That’s why a former Democrat billionaire had to run and embarrassed all those other names to being tools of a Swamp that isn’t Americans First..

And Trump is enemy number one of all those names above, except maybe Dole..

Trump is at war with your GOP

I hope your GOP loses every time.
It means America wins
It means the Swamp loses

True. The usual saying is, “He who pays the piper calls the tune.” It’s hard to tell what DeSantis will actually do. He continues to pursue a conservative agenda in Florida, in spite of having these turkeys as backers, but will he get “asks” in the White House that compel him to act contrary to the interests of the American people to preserve his political career?

Not that I am favoring, but do recognize and appreciate that Rove is a winner, he helped Bush Junior, the Village Idiot from Texas, win the White House. Candidates could do worse.

I still think it’s cute that anyone will even think that the problems will be solved by voting.” You’re right about that. It’s beyond cute; it’s precious. We never “will” win another election.

It's not cute nor precious. It's like a 14 year old believing in Santa Claus and creepy adults playing along.

To: Equine1952; All
" Talk is cheap Florida ain’t the WH. Power goes up exponentially [??? emphasis added]."

Thank you for posting Equine1952.

I respectfully disagree about state powers v. federal powers Equine1952.

More specifically, regardless that FN wants everybody to believe that the Oval Office of the constitutionally limited power federal government is somehow the most powerful peacetime office in the land, the drafters of the Constitution actually reserved the lion's share of government power to serve the people to the states, not the corrupt federal government.

In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, had clarified that the founders had left the care of the people with the states, not the federal government.

”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)

In other words, most federal domestic policy is based on stolen state powers and likewise stolen state revenues uniquely associated with those powers, the feds stealing state revenues by means of unconstitutional federal taxes that Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

The reason that the country is the mess it is today is because misguided Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, followed by likewise corrupt FDR, RINO Bushes, Obama, and now Biden, have all helped to knock the country off of its constitutional foundation imo.

So if DeSantis, or any other governor, wants to serve the most possible people under the Constitution that they can, then they need to keep their governors' offices and let the feds worry about delivering the mail, one of the very few powers that the states have actually expressly constitutionally given the feds to dictate domestic policy.

(These days I wouldn't trust the corrupt feds with the constitutionally express power of national dogcatcher.)

Patriots need for "street fighter" Trump 47 to finish draining the swamp, especially cleaning up the Democratic-weaponized judiciary.

Finishing the job of draining the swamp will hopefully include Trump working with a new round of MAGA state and federal lawmakers to surrender state powers that the post-17th Amendment ratification feds have been stealing from the states since before the ink on the Constitution was dry back to the states.

Trump can then finish his second term by spending even more time on the golf course than Obama did, an appropriate way for the leader of a peacetime, constitutionally limited power federal government whose founders intended for it to be lame duck 24/7 to spend much free time.
