Newspapers pulled Adams's 'Dilbert' comics and the left thundered its umbrage after Adams reacted to a poll suggesting significant bigotry among black respondents.
We know that the left is always looking for an opportunity to silence those who challenge their groupthink. Their target isn’t only conservatives but anybody who disagrees with their worldview even in the slightest possible way.
They left lives in the hope that contrarians to their groupthink will either misspeak or express a nuanced and detailed idea that can be extracted, stripped of context, and made to appear bigoted. This gives them reason to mount a social media campaign and initiate cancellation.
Yesterday it was satirist and thinker Scott Adams's turn to be cancelled.
USAToday announced that it would stop publishing Adams's "Dilbert" cartoon because they ‘lead with inclusion and strive to maintain a respectful and equitable environment for the diverse communities we serve nationwide.’
Cleveland’s Plain Dealer newspaper also decided not to publish any of Adam’s cartoons.
John Hiner of MLive Media in Michigan wrote in an editorial, “We will work quickly to find a replacement that will entertain you and not violate basic standards of decency and respect for others.”
Many other outlets followed and did away with Adams.
Adams has been producing Dilbert for three decades and they are seen as a devastatingly satirical commentary on workplace policies.
What did Scott Adams do such that he merited cancellation?
Adams become a nationwide trending topic after he said that black people are "a hate group and I don't want to have anything to do with them."
He also said the following:
"Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people."

Which means that losing a cartoon is a serious blow!
How else can they communicate....
I actually don’t buy the whole Internet schtick. Which is what liberals love anyway as they try to tell us it’s the clean way…but it is also easy to monitor for Big Brother.
Real paper is where it is at. A small screen where you have to scroll forever or click to the next, or see pop-up ads everywhere, is just annoying and not easy to get through or even skip to different things, esp. if you know where stuff was. I deal in textbooks and the real thing is so much better and more convenient than cyberspace.
My problems with newspaper is that almost all of them are commie rags, certainly in our region. So no point buying it.
[[I just hate it when umbrage gets thundered. ]]
Well shiver me timbers, so do i lol
[[Sadly, I’ve seen anecdotal instances of minorities embracing “minority only” social gatherings and such. ]]
Some day, we will see a small white woman who rides a black only bus and sit in the back of the us and refuse to move when ordered to
I have already done that. Seven years ago, to avoid crime, I moved from a large city with a large black population to a small town with very few blacks. It is much better in my present location.
Reminds me of a Judge Judy episode.
A woman in there had some complaint about little boys fighting. They were very young black boys. This woman had the disgusting nerve to have made her little boy get into a fight with this other one. As it was the boy still looked nice and innocent, not evil yet.
Basically she wanted her boy to man up and beat up anyone that was disrespecting him.
Yes, that’s the disgusting culture this is. Never mind the excessive whoopings these kids can get for the dumbest thing. Our whole liberal white culture says we can no longer even slap a child, but they look the other way with black thug culture, which is lots of beatings.
Judge Judy should have had Child Protective Services come in and take him away. I’m not big on that whole CPS stuff but this was egregious.
I’d question whether Adams viral rant preceded or was a consequence of his comic strip getting pulled from major publications.
Its more likely he lashed out because his comic strip was getting pulled than vise versa.
Years ago Chris Rock had a monologue about black people hating *******.
It was funny.
Thing is, you don’t seem to see ordinary, holding a job, raising their kids and trying to build a better future for themselves black people actively hating on *******, maybe but not always when those we vs they events erupt and ******* seem to be somehow able to count on empathy from at least some black people even though the communities they are harming are their own.
But back up, we should not expect anything different because those folks are trying to continue to build lives for themselves and the things they do every day, just like any bunch honestly trying to get ahead, are about building their lives and not about hating on anyone.
Silence isn’t violence, it’s those people don’t really matter to me, they don’t determine how I live my life. And besides that black people no more owe the world an apology for ******* than ordinary Sicilians do for the mafia.
I think Rock would have been more accurate to say that ******* — the habItual criminal kind at least — hate black people as a part of the whole angry at the world, chip on their shoulder, look at you for what they can get or take from you or otherwise see you as their victim to victimize or a sellout or both ... which is really aimed at everyone around them, and not just black people.
Black people are less than 15% of the population. ******* who are habitual criminals are sub 10% of black people ... but they account for a huge chunk crime and violence and a lot of it, a LOT OF IT, is directed at black people ... almost as if it was their preference to harm other black persons.
So what about Adams? Dollars to donuts those behind trying to cancel him are whiny woke whites, on the douche ridden parts of world wide web.
See Tagline for explanation.
You're right. It's not the "black" skin color, it's their culture where they underachieve in school and overachieve in crime.
You can buy products from “black owned businesses” on Amazon, but try finding “ white owned businesses” anywhere.
He’s got “FU Money”
“They” are us.
still newspapers in business. It’s sort of liking driving an ICE vehicle in 2036.
Or like pulling a small red wagon down the middle of the street, now.
Nobody should be cancelled.
What Adams said was vile.
I cross the street for blacks.
Too dangerous.
If one takes an objective look at what passes for "black leadership", "black heroes" and "black voices" on behalf of all blacks, Scott Adams isn't wrong.
The media can cancel Scott Adams, they cannot cancel the truth he told.
My African Grey parrot enjoys shredding “PAPER, PAPER!” folded strips, with the remainder lining the bottoms of his large cage. We pick up unpurchased day olds at the grocery stores. Particularly the NYTimes. Westley is one of their best consumers.
Nor the truth Chris Rock told.....before he disavowed this routine....
