I present this for your consideration. I am still trying to digest this new information myself but thought those of you who have been following this revival might be interested.
This podcaster's point is quite simple and that is that several student groups who played important leadership roles at the Asbury revival self-identify as LGBTQ. He makes his argument for these conclusions.
The "self-identification" as gay is the problem. They're not identifying as formerly gay people who have repented, but as a group of (currently?) gay people. This podcaster accuses these gay groups of trying to insinuate themselves into the revival as a means of increasing tolerance for LBGTQ.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions about the rest.
All that said, I thought this was surprising if not shocking. It certainly threatens to taint what was a glorious event.
There was another reference where on the prayer board postings were for the church to repent regarding homo perverts.
If the revival is real then such people will have no impact, in this case let G-D manage it. They will of course make their claims and spread their lies but G-D will see to it his people come to him.
Does that mean the church should repent for its former rejection of gays? Or what?
There are Gay groups who have been opposing the early grooming and sex change push for children.
There is outright prayer over the harms committed by the church. I learned that a few days earlier, a student wrote a prayer for acceptance of the sacred worth of queer students that was anonymously and harshly rubbed out, only to be rewritten on the board by someone else later in the night.

Ears to hear.............................
There is nothing more informative than a podcaster.
The ‘Church’ might
BUT GOD....
But an unrepentant gay group would not.
“I thought this was surprising if not shocking.”
Not me. My first post about this was to be wary of “strong delusions” that will occur during end times. The first video I saw of the event gave me the creeps.
My question on this is WHAT SHOULD WE SEE IF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AT WORK?
Everyone looks at this and it is so spiritual , led by students, reverent, worshipful, etc. All sound good until you think about it.
The ,”Church” has committed no sins. Only individuals can sin.
That is wisdom.
Wise words. Let’s be very careful not to posture counter to God and the Holy Spirit. If this is of God’s hand it will flourish. If not, it will become very clear. For now, I stand by watching and praying this is of the Lord. I will not position myself into a position of knowledge superior to the Holy Spirit.
You certainly have to use your discernment re: podcasts to sort out the chaff, but to dismiss all podcasts as junk would be foolish IMO.
This is the new world we live in. People like you and me and other Freepers have opinions that are as valid as those of MSNBC and CNN. And those opinions can reach millions of people.
And for what it's worth, I learn more from Freepers than I ever learned from the mainstream media.
Rick Warren and Francis Chan were behind this so-called “spontaneous” revival
Now I am not yet willing to throw the baby out with the bath water. But I am going to listen to the after-action reports.
Is there much teaching going on or just prayer and corporate worship? If the latter then seems like the involvement of some with bad doctrine is not a big issue. If however someone is teaching a false doctrine be it about homosexuality or the prosperity gospel or whatever else then it becomes the business of Christians to try to set the record straight.
I got half way through the article and stopped reading. She’s either a stupid racist leftists or someone hell bent on destroying Christianity. She was making everything about and comparing how many whites to black ratio there was....really? I’m utterly fed up with the bigoted scumbags making everything about color. The Bible is clear...There’s “The Redeemed” and the “Unredeemed”. That’s it! There is no black Holy Spirit. There is no white Holy Spirit....or Latino Holy Spirit, etc. It is all the Spirit of Christ dwelling within us.
Utter nonsensical people...I have little time for their divisive rhetoric.
