And that would be great. But I think this podcaster's point is that gay people who repent of their sins are welcome in leadership roles the same way former alcoholics or adulterers would be.

But an unrepentant gay group would not.

Nothing is saying that these Gay groups need to be accepted in a leadership role by straight people. I don’t judge people by who they go to bed with, any more than what color their skin is. We had a women’s hockey coach in high, who was openly lesbian, who was an excellent role model and coach, whose life was above reproach as far as the students were concerned, but we had a lesbian at our church, who molested her own daughters and stalked my mother. This was back in the sixties.
