Springfield’s EMP9 pistol is not related - the P9 hasn’t been made since 94ish and it was not a sales success. The similarly named EMP9 is a 1911 variant instead of being a CZ-75 clone like the P9.

The original CZ-75 had no firing pin block - that was added with the CZ-75B. The 75BD has the block and a decocker. I was not familiar with the Springfield clone, but seemed like a very poor decision to clone something that was upgraded 2x by the original manufacturer and not include the upgrades.

Don't get me wrong, I am a big CZ fan and my SHTF sidearm is a CZ75B in .40. It would not be if it didn't have the firing pin block.
