"The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go."
James Cameron is not only a Hollywood director known for box-office hits like Titanic and Avatar, but also a devout environmentalist on a mission toward a green Utopia — well, in theory, at least. His "solutions" sound more like crimes against humanity, so now that I think about it, I guess "climate communist" is a better term.
Cameron is currently in the midst of a media blitz for his new film, and in an article for Time Magazine, which was published last week, Cameron said the following:
I can relate to Thanos ... I thought he had a pretty viable answer. The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go.
Huh? I had some idea of who Thanos was because to be honest, I consume a lot of memes, but I still had to look him up to gather extra context and details. According to a website dedicated to Marvel fandom:
Thanos was a genocidal warlord ... whose objective was to bring stability to the universe by wiping out half of all life at every level, as he believed its massive population would inevitably use up the universe's entire supply of resources and perish.

Elizabeth Holmes? heh
Nah, that’s “Theranos”.
The only one of his movies I truly enjoyed was “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”.
This is a thing recently with the left. They keep unironically identifying with the villains in superhero movies/series, and it doesn’t seem to dawn on them why that should be troubling.
Recent ones I can remember:
* the left praising the black supremacist villain “Killmonger” in “Black Panther”
* the left praising the anarchist villain “Flag-Smasher” in the “Falcon and Winter Soldier” series
What? Not Aliens? Everyone loves Aliens!
“I can relate to Thanos ... I thought he had a pretty viable answer. The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go.”
... which means what? That since people won’t volunteer to die that government has to step in and eliminate half the people? Is that what this guy is thinking?
I think you are right except it is not really half. It is probably 95% that they are not saying out loud.
James Cameron? Isn’t he the guy who made the cartoon version of “Dances with Wolves”?
Dances with Smurfs.
I think that is what he implied. That is a common leftist belief because the only way to stop conservatives from proving them wrong by example is to just have an excuse to eliminate them. A theme that repeats through history.
They can separate those marked for extermination like the SS did; have Antifa storm troopers just randomly and arbitrarily assigning them to groups for life and death. Like in Sophie’s Choice. They can vet out those who can work and the young girls to be saved for later and kill the rest. It’s hypocritical for them to pretend this couldn’t happen-the reality gets closer every day.
Cameron just wants a little lebensraum.
Thanos is Greek for “death” - consider euthanasia, thanantopsis, etc.
Etymologically, viable is “able to live.”
Great idea lefties. Thanks for volunteering to “save the planet.”
You first, bro.
Cameron once said that environmental terrorism is justified. He’s just as much a wacked out liberal as anyone in Hollywood.
James Cameron... Oh, yeah! I remember him!
James Cameron: “The idea for ‘The Terminator’ came to me in a dream.” That dream was apparently “Soldier”, an episode of the TV series “Outer Limits”, written by Harlan Ellison.
James Cameron: “The idea for Avatar came to me in a dream.” That dream was apparently “Under the Moons of Mars”, by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Now, we just need to wait for him to dream a world where people eat processes humans, apparently.
Just further evidence that the Hollywood left is under the influence of a demonic spirit, as if we couldn’t tell already by the filth they put out for public consumption.
