An armed man driving a golf cart abducted a woman at gunpoint outside a Philadelphia Applebee’s after firing his weapon, police said.
The brazen kidnapping took place around 6:40 a.m. Saturday in the Port Richmond neighborhood, the Philadelphia Police Department said.
The woman was walking along Cumberland Street toward Aramingo Avenue when a man driving a maroon and black Polaris Northstar XP 1000 golf cart followed her, police said.
When the suspect reached the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue, police said, he opened the driver’s door, pulled out a gun and fired a shot, which struck the ground in the WSFS bank parking lot.
The golf cart driver then crossed the street and pulled up in front of an Applebee’s eatery and a WaWa grocery store.

It could certainly speed up a round of golf....
Give one to the Beer Girl so we can get a refill on the back nine...
Why is the victim described as a “white woman” but the perp is only described as “a man”?
a maroon and black Polaris Northstar XP 1000 golf cart
right down to make, model and color, and yet, no description of the kidnapper...
“Described as a man”
Wow! That’s all they got?
I work in the tax department of a real estate company. I’m probably the oldest employee there, at 68. The partnership/LLC returns are among the most complicated I’ve ever encountered.
A new accountant recently joined our department. Ok resume, Masters in Accounting from a state university. Last week, he asked me to review a check he was sending to a state revenue agency. I’ll just say it had to be his first attempt writing a check. For example, there was no decimal point after the dollar amount, and he endorsed the check on the back.
That, and other issues had me asking myself, “what are they teaching in schools today?”
The quality of work we’re getting from our CPA firms is no great shakes, either. I see it while preparing current year returns that they prepared last year.
ATV’s are not street legal in PA. Cops should have pulled him over on sight, and probably would have if driver was white

We just can't assume it's a crime!! 🤓
Now, are they assuming that it was a man? I mean, it could identify as a women or one of the 57 other genders.
Sounds more like “The Villages” in FL... ( Maybe he intends to retire there)
They are the finest products of the left’s edumacation system. Operating just as desired...
Good Lord. Check are to them so... so... antiquated. I must admit, though, I’m not in the least surprised. I’m kinda retired these days, but for years was the Head Honcho with around 24 employees. For many of the positions on our team, a Bachelor’s Degree was necessary. When hiring young college grads for entry-level spots, I’d always be the final interview. Some revealing questions: “Can you please express the fraction 4/5 as a percentage?” Roughly half could not, and had no idea what I was talking about. Another favorite was “Do grammar and spelling matter in this day and age?” I’d say a third or so didn’t think so. The most interesting, perhaps: “Is it possible to tell right from wrong?” A startling number would state that no, it really isn’t. More recently: on the phone with a young lady who needed my CC info. We got the to the expiration date, which was August of 2025. When asked for it, I responded “August of 2025”. Silence. “What number is that?” “What number is what?” “The number for the month.” We’re sunk. Back to planting my roses...
I suspect you’re right. But at least she speaks four languages! Sigh...
Most of my German has dissipated over the years, but if one of those 4 was German, I’d sure love to test her. I was comfortable speaking in 2 dialects, Hoch Deutsch and Hunsruck. Back then, there were 14 dialects for an area the size of Oregon.
When my household goods were packed at the end of my tour, it was natural to speak their language. Later, a buddy of mine showed up, and he was wearing fatigues…he was fluent. One of the movers asked him, is he an American?
Ah, the good old days.
